General overview
Welcome! Our home is located in Tijeras, at 7,200 ft in the East Mountains of Central New Mexico, a 20-minutes drive from Albuquerque. The property covers 2 acres of meadows, pinions, juniper and stunning mountain vistas. The house is a 2,600-square-foot ranch-style with open-style rooms and a huge master bedroom and bathroom.
The sunsets and sunrises here are unforgettable!
Our home is very well-lit, spacious, and modern (2014 construction). Our front and back yards are inviting and the pergola is comfortable and peaceful. Our property allows for much privacy and great relaxation! The library room is comfortable and can accommodate 2 more guests.
The drive to Santa Fe is truly spectacular. Albuquerque's Old Town, culture, and world-class food are 20 minutes away and Nob Hill is even closer. The views from Sandia Peak (featured in one of the photos) are jaw-dropping!

People Like Us Local Guide
If available, we can meet for a drink and share our insights and make recommendations for local restaurants or places to visit.
We had an amazing stay at Franck and Marty’s beautiful home. We felt like we had stepped into a 5-star resort/spa! Easy access to Albuquerque without being in Albuquerque and we also enjoyed a day in Santa Fe, which is an easy drive away. Franck and Marty were exceptional hosts and there’s nothing more we could have wished for. Highly recommend exchanging with Franck & Marty!
Franck and Marty are great hosts! We had a simultaneous exchange. Their home is more spacious and beautiful than what the picture shows! It's spotless, comfortable, and has all modern amenities. We loved its modern floor plan. We arrived at their home and were greeted with a delicious bottle of wine, just what we needed after a day of travel! Franck and Marty are easy to communicate with and very responsive to our messages. Their home has easy access to Albuquerque, hiking trails, and the mountains! Our exchange occurred in March 2023. We enjoyed the warm and sunny weather in Albuquerque, its beautiful old town, delicious authentic Mexican food, and Petroglyphy National Monument. We also enjoyed hiking trails close by. Yet, if you love snow, you could drive up Sandia Crest, elevation 10,678 feet and enjoy playing in the snow, which we did! We're remote workers so had to do some work during the exchange. Their internet was very reliable and we enjoyed working from their home. It was a great exchange experience for us and we highly recommend Franck and Marty as exchange partners and their beautiful home!
Franck & Marty were wonderful exchangers. After staying at their beautiful home earlier this year, we had no doubt that they would take good care of our home and they did, of course. Communication was easy, and they are model PLUers. We would happily exchange with them again and highly recommend them to anyone considering an exchange with Franck & Marty.
Franck and Marty were great guests. They'd be welcome again anytime.
We had a simultaneous exchange with Franck and Marty in March 2023. They were great to communicate with and very responsive to messages! We had great communications before the exchange, on the way to the exchange, and after the exchange! We came home to find our home completely clean and well taken care of. We highly recommend Franck and Marty as guests!
We had a fantastic stay at Tom and Laura's home in San Diego.
Their home was well-equipped and comfortable.
They had had also left us detailed instructions about the particulars of their house and suggestions
for activities around their community. We enjoyed the beautiful view, the community pool, and the
courts playing pickleball.
We highly recommend Tom and Laura and their area!
Tom and Laura left our home in a great shape!
They were easy to work with, and prompt to answer and excellent communicators
We are looking forward to our stay in California in October!
Ivan and Cindy were easy to work with, prompt to answer, and excellent communicators.
Their house was well-equipped, clean, a great location.
We enjoyed our stay in Loreto Bay very much!
The kitchen was well-equipped and organized.
Having a pool table available was added fun!
The neighborhood was quiet and safe.
Our dogs enjoyed the yard!
Ping and Jeff did a great job with explaining the particulars of their home. They were attentive to our needs and always reachable quickly when we had questions.
Upon returning to our home we felt they had kept it clean and tidy. Ping and Jeff are dependable and reliable and we were glad to have them guide us through our first exchange.

Franck and Marty
We are Franck and Marty, newly retired from teaching. We do not have children but have two adorable little dogs, Sammy and Chloée. We are consummate travelers and care for our host's homes as it it were our own.
Franck is French (from St Barts, FWI) and Marty is American (from Illinois). We love to explore the world, meet fun people and learn about cultures!
Our home is a modern 2,800 sq. ft (270 m2) ranch sitting on 2 acres of untouched high desert landscape. New Mexico's largest city, Albuquerque is a 17 minutes drive and Santa Fé is an hour on stunning NM 14 highway (Turquoise Trail).
Because we are at altitude (7,000+ ft / 2,200 m) we experience 4 spectacular seasons!
Come explore the jaw-dropping beauty and the vast expenses of New Mexico!
Many visitors wish they could stay longer!
