General Overview
Our home is modern, very comfortable and practical for two adults. It has a North East aspect ensuring light and sun all year round. If needed there are inverter reverse cycle air conditioners in several areas.
Port Macquarie & Surrounds - Home of uncrowded surf beaches, tranquil rivers and lakes, world heritage rainforests, koalas and birdlife, crystal clear waters with playful dolphins and majestic whales.
Sample local produce at wineries and organic farms, visit the plentiful markets or sit down for a feed at one of the eateries. Stumble on a food or music festival or get lost in nature.
The Space
The home is open plan - the kitchen, living room, dining room and small sitting alcove are conducive to family connection, entertainment and inclusiveness. These rooms sit in the centre of the house. The main bedroom has a king size bed which can be separated into twin beds. The main bedroom has an ensuite with double basins, toilet and walk in shower. It is at the eastern end of the house. The second bedroom has a king single bed with bathroom opposite (including bath). There is a separate study. These are located at the western end of the house. This provides privacy and space for members to retreat to as necessary. There is a large deck at the rear of the house with pull down blinds for privacy and protection from the elements if required. This area has a large table, outdoor chairs and undercover clothes line. There is also a ceiling fan. There is an alcove on the northern side of the house - which can be open or fully enclosed - again depending on the weather. It is a lovely sun trap and ideal for enjoying breakfast, morning coffee or lunch or quiet reflection with a book or music. There is an outisde clothes line with full sun for easy drying.
Guest Access
The house is accessed by three steps at each of the front, side entrance from the carport and back of the house. Both the front and side entrances have hand rails to assist. The carport is on the southern side allowing undercover access directly from the carport to the house.
Notes
The kitchen, living room, dining room and small sitting alcove areas have polished floor boards with several floor rugs. Each of the bedrooms and study are carpeted. The carport area is a breeze way with roller a door access and the cars are parked nose to tail.

Neighbourhood
We live in a gated community which provides a safe, secure environment and excellent neighbours mostly of a similar age. It is a very quiet location with virtually zero traffic - residents, visitors, the occasional tradesperson, etc. We are about 10 minutes from the town centre and 15 minutes from the Port Macquarie Airport.
Getting to my home
Port Macquarie has a regional airport (about 15 minutes) serviced by several domestic airliners including Qantas and Virgin. NSW Train LInk operates services to Wauchope Station (about 20 minutes). You would then need to connect via bus, taxi or uber to our home. (See Transport NSW website for more info). By car - approximately 4 hrs 15 mins from Sydney CBD (387 kms). The highway from Sydney to Port Macquarie (the A1) is modern and dual carriageway. There are lots of stopping bays with amenities, plus you can go off the highway and enjoy the local towns and scenery.
Nearest airport
Port Macquarie Airport - 13 mins - 8.7 kms (according to Google Maps)
Getting Around
To the Town Green/Town Centre - 10 minutes - 5.9 kms (according to Google Maps). There is a local bus service - Busways - that provides services. See: www.busways.com.au/nsw
