Neighbourhood
Bethnal Green is a thriving, lively area of East London. We are incredibly well connected by tube and bus.
We are 10mins walk away from one of UKs top parks - Victoria Park, and 5mins walk from the tube (being in Zone 2 it means it's really cheap and quick to travel around!), our place is equally convenient for those wanting to explore all East London has to offer on foot or bike.
By foot we recommend: Brick Lane, Columbia Road Flower Market, Victoria Park, the canals, Broadway Market, London Buddhist Centre.
We have an absolutely incredible array of different cuisines on our doorstep, including: Japanese, Thai, Venezuelan, Indian. We are also lucky enough to have lots of great pubs, we love The Camel just two mins away for fabulous pies and pints!
Getting to my home
So well connected by public transport - the nearest tube stop is 3 mins away.
Buses are a minute walk and will take you to Shoreditch, Tower of London or straight into central!
Nearest airport
Stanstead, bus ride away!
Heathrow by public transport an hour away
Getting around
Our flat is incredibly well connected to all public transport, so you'd not need a car or taxi here.
1min walk to nearest local shop
3mins to tube stop
10mins to huge park
Airports
Stanstead airport: 1hour bus journey
Heathrow: 1-1.5hr tube/train
Gatwick: 1.5hr public transport

Sitara and Josh
We've done 2 exchanges before, and the one that was non-sim didn't work out well (they stayed at ours but we never stayed at theirs 🥲) so we're really only interested in simultaneous exchanges where it's someone's primary home. We loved our simultaneous exchange in New York and Paris though!
We have a cocker spaniel called Luca. He's very well behaved and we always wash him before he gets inside our home, so would do the same of course, ideally we would bring him to UK exchanges but can leave him with his grandparents if need be!
We don't want any Globe Swaps, sorry!
Looking for:
*Weekends in Europe 2024, ideally Madrid or Porto for a few days
*New Year's weekend exchange in the UK
*12-14th January 2024 (Josh's birthday)
