Inside, you'll find a super comfortable king-size bed with plenty of storage, a stylish living room to unwind, and a fully equipped kitchen stocked with cookery books for foodie inspiration. There’s also fast fibre optic broadband and a dedicated workspace with an ergonomic chair—perfect for remote work or planning your next adventure.
Free weekend parking is available, and we’re just minutes from excellent transport links, shops, and award-winning green spaces.
The Space
We've called this flat home for the past four years and absolutely love it—especially its unbeatable location with easy access to everything London has to offer. It's a solid 1950s council-built property on the first floor, full of charm and character.
Our space is warm, personal, and well lived-in—you’ll spot signs of the things we love: cycling, board games, and running. Despite the personal touches, the flat is spacious and well-equipped for a comfortable stay.
The bedroom features a super king-size bed and plenty of storage with hanging space and drawers. The large living room is perfect for relaxing or enjoying a game night. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking your favourite meals, and the bathroom has a walk-in shower (no bath).
While we don’t have outdoor space directly attached, we’re incredibly lucky to have several award-winning parks just steps away. Victoria Park, one of our favourites, hosts summer festivals and a brilliant weekly food market!

Neighbourhood
Bethnal Green is a thriving, lively area of East London. The East End of London is a small hub and we're part of that community. It's got it's own history it's very proud of, it's own stories of immigration throughout the centuries, and it's even got its own cuisine(!).
We are incredibly well connected by tube and bus. Both of us normally cycle/walk everywhere though so can recommend some good routes for both.
We are 10mins walk away from one of UKs top parks - Victoria Park, and 5mins walk from the tube (being in Zone 2 it means it's really cheap and quick to travel around!), our place is equally convenient for those wanting to explore all East London has to offer on foot or bike.
By foot we recommend: Brick Lane, Columbia Road Flower Market, Victoria Park, the canals, Broadway Market, London Buddhist Centre.
We have an absolutely incredible array of different cuisines on our doorstep, including: Japanese, Thai, Venezuelan, Indian. We are also lucky enough to have lots of great British pubs, we love The Camel just two mins away for fabulous pies and pints!
Getting to my home
We are very well connected by public transport - the nearest tube stop is 3 mins walk away. We're in zone 2 so everything is quick and cheap too! The central line also one of the few lines which runs 24/7.
Buses are a minute walk and will take you to Shoreditch, Tower of London or straight into central!
Nearest airport
Stanstead - a bus ride away!
Heathrow by public transport an hour away
Gatwick - 1 hour - 1hr 30mins away
Getting Around
Our flat is incredibly well connected to all public transport, so you'd not need a car or taxi here.
1min walk to nearest local shop
3mins to tube stop
10mins to huge park
Airports
Stanstead airport: 1hour bus journey
Heathrow: 1-1.5hr tube/train
Gatwick: 1.5hr public transport

Sitara and Josh
Hello! We are two young professionals, living in East London. Though we live centrally in the Big Smoke, we love getting out into nature and our favourite activities are: kayaking, hiking, running, cycling. We're big on experiencing other ways of living and we love sharing our home and area with others, so would love to swap with like minded people.
We are looking for:
*Long weekends in Europe 2025, we'd love to visit Madrid or Porto
*New Years Eve
*Swaps in the UK
"Ideally 4/5 days between:
22- 28 May 2025, or
28th August - 3rd September 2025"
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
Living room, table which sits 4 around it (a bench is underneath), and sofa bed which pulls out to sleep 2
Our bathroom
Shower (we don't have a bathtub)
Comfortable seating area for chilling with boardgames or in front of the TV!
Table pulls out for seating for 4
Desk in living room where I work, you're welcome to connect your laptop to the screen and work from my "home office"
Dog bed for your doggy if you're bringing them! With board games in the drawers. The TV connects to Netflix, BBC and Channel 4 (but not Netflix unless you log in)
Our bedroom - a king size bed, 4 pillows and bedside tables on each side for some storage
We're both keen cyclists, and as we live in a one bed flat we had to come up with a creative way to store both road bikes, don't worry there's still room to walk this side of the bed to get in
The light shines beautifully in the bedroom, however we have black out blinds and the bedroom is a dark sage green, so perfect for relaxing and snoozing in the morning (we both value our sleep highly)
Just to show the space between the bikes and bed (they're very slim bikes so enough space to slide into bed easily)
Full length mirror in the bedroom
We will move some of our items to give a little space in the wardrobe and draws for you
We'll leave room in our fridge for your essentials.
But will of course leave proper coffee, tea, butter. You're also welcome to help yourself to any sundries (pasta, rice, lentils) in the cupboards.
We have an airfryer, microwave, kettle, toaster and large oven.
But there's lots of lovely restaurants to avoid doing any cooking!
Columbia flower market, which is a close walk to us and open on Sundays!
