Eileen’s home is such a beautiful place to stay - comfortable & clean and so near the beach. We had some gorgeous late night walks by the sea. She thinks of everything too - she’s a very experienced home exchanger! We will certainly be exchanging with her again in the near future.
Eileen and Steve were great guests and looked after our house very well and fed our cat too. Communication was very good and easy . I’m glad they enjoyed their stay in west cork . I’d recommend them highly as guests . All the best on future exchanges and travels !
Eileen’s family spent a week at our home and were kind enough to also care for our two guinea pigs! Eileen was extremely helpful in offering support and advice for our first exchange. Communication was excellent, we had regular contact which was great for all parties. Everything was left immaculately - a clean and tidy house for our return. All in all first exchange experience very positive !
We hosted Eileen and Steve in our Auckland home for a few days before they set out on their own seeing New Zealand. They were wonderful guests and it was great getting to know them. We wouldn’t hesitate to host them again if they venture this far again.
Eileen and her husband had a lovely stay in our home - but you could barely tell they’d been here at all since it was left so clean!
Eileen stayed in my place for a few days in June 2019 (non reciprocal excahnge) and she was the most perfect guest. It was as though she'd never even been here; she left my place so clean and tidy it was hard for me to find evidence of her stay when I returned from my own trip. The communication between with Eileen was easy, uncomplicated and frequent. Eileen you will always be welcome in my place.
Lovely home. Plenty of room. It had everything we needed. This is a large house so we didn't use it all. Mainly used the kitchen/dining room and the TV lounge, plus bedrooms. Very comfortable. Bedrooms had ensuite. It was perfect for our globe exchange. The house is in a great location. Easy access to the delights of County Cork. Clonikilty is a lovely town. We enjoyed the band festival which was on during our stay. Barras bar is a great music venue. Supa valu supermarket is one of the best supermarkets I have used. Its deli style feel and good quality food was amazing. We would highly recommend this home exchange to anyone wanting to sample the delights of Ireland.
Thank you Eileen . The house was in perfect Condition afterwards and the cat well looked after . Glad you enjoyed west cork !
My daughter and family stayed on a globe stay at Rominys lovely home. Communication with Rominy was easy and she was very helpful. Rominy had worked hard to prepare the home. There was a lovely warm welcome when my family arrived. With presents for them and the children. The home is extremely clean and well presented. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The area is very nice. Lots of things to see and do. We had days out every day. From beautiful beaches to scenic countryside. One day it rained so they took the children to Hanger 5 a trampoline park.
We would highly recommend Rominy's home and area for home exchange. You will not be disappointed.
Katherine and Trevor hosted us at their Auckland home. They were amazing hosts. Everything they did was to give us a real home exchange welcome. Their house is beautiful. Steve and Trevor had lots to talk about as they both were in the Merchant Navy. They did a home exchange barbecue inviting others to join us. It was so nice meeting other members and swapping stories about our experiences home exchanging.
We enjoyed Auckland. We took the ferry over to Davenport and Waiheke Island. We also enjoyed swimming at Mission Bay and St Hellier. We would definitely recommend this home exchange. Thank you so much Kathy and Trevor.
Great guest. We would be happy to host him again.
Neil was the perfect guest. Respectful and careful. We would be happy to host him again.
We were so pleased to be the first to exchange with Jacqui and Graham. They live in a beautiful part of the Lake District. Within walking distance of Lake Windermere and lovely villages. Lots to see and do. Their home was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a successful stay. Tilly the cat was a pleasure to look after. We look forward to our next time at their home.
Jacquie and Graham were perfect guests in our home. They were respectful and careful. We are planning another exchange with them this summer.
We did a non simultaneous exchange in June 2019. Niels home is modern, comfortable and clean. He made us very welcome and we had a lovely time. We would like to go back again another time.
What a great experience we had. The home was in excellent condition. Very clean and had everything we needed for a great stay. Padraig was very easy, to communicate with and went out of his way to make sure all was well for our stay. His home is in a great location with easy access to the centre of Paris. We would definitely recommend this home. It was an excellent exchange.

Steve and I are young at heart 60+ year olds. Easy going and get on with most people. We love travel (Steve used to be in the Merchant Navy, hence the travel bug). We are both retired. We are open to short breaks or longer term swaps. We are both non smokers. We love home exchanging and will look after your property. We have done 51 exchanges. Meeting new people and experiencing different cultures is life enriching.
We have no pets. We are non smokers. We prefer to exchange with other couples. We are open to simultaneous and non simultaneous exchanges.
We are interested in short exchanges in UK and Ireland. Also longer trips to Spain, Germany, France and other European areas.
REVIEWS from some of our home exchangers.
We had a most enjoyable stay at Eileen and Steve's home. We were most comfortable and Eileen left a well stocked fridge for us. We liked Driffield and found it a very friendly little town. We found a really excellent Indian restaurant and takeaway no more than 5 mins walk from our exchange home.
There was an excellent bus service to Hull and to the coast. We used it to get to Beverley, we explored the narrow streets with lots of little independent shops, the Minster and Saturday Market with really good stalls selling the normal goods but also
individual craft stalls.
The best visit was to Bempton Cliffs where we had a guided tour of the viewing points
and not only saw the usual seabirds but also fulmars and puffins.
Thank you so much for exchanging with us.
Wendy and Bill
We were delighted to receive Eileen and Steve at home. They took care of everything and they left the house even better than when they arrived. Eileen and Steve are very kind, friendly, energetic and optimistic and everything has been easy with them. In the beginning it was going to be a simultaneous exchange and they were helping us with everything we needed. Thanks again for being so helpful and kind!!! At the end we had to postpone our travel to England but we are looking forward to going to their house. They are fantastic people and so careful with everything that we are sure that their house will be great! We definitely recommend an exchange with them!!!
We had a 4 day break at Bridlington. Eileen and Steve welcomed us personally, and it was lovely to meet them. The house is spacious and comfortable ( especially the beds!) We loved the feel of the English seaside town, and found interesting places to visit and nice places to eat. Their home is ideally located. A perfect exchange. Wouldn't mind doing it again sometime.

We were lucky enough to stay in Eileen and Steve's house for nearly two weeks in July 2015. We found their house extremely comfortable, clean and perfect for a house exchange in Yorkshire. They were very generous in every way and were excellent communicators during the planning of the exchange and also when we were at each others house. We swapped cars which allowed us to visit some of the beautiful villages and towns in that part of the country. You will not go wrong exchanging with Eileen and Steve.
