Our quirky beachhouse is situated high in the trees with beautiful views of the ocean from every room. We are next to a green zone so are close to nature with fabulous bird life, wallabies, possums, lizards and scrub turkeys just a few of the animals who make their homes nearby. You might hear the thump of wallabies and kangaroos in the surrounding bush too. Gazing out to sea , you might spot whales during the winter months .
The space
This is our second home so we are flexible with availability. Our house is divided into 2 apartments so even if we are using one, you can use the other . Both apartments have 2 bedrooms with QS beds in each. Upstairs has a modern kitchen with dishwasher and downstairs has a slightly smaller kitchen .
The decks are large and offer a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the views of ocean and bushland , whilst listening to the chorus of birds .
Guest access
There are quite a few stairs, firstly down from the road , and then up the guest bedroom in the main part of our home or down to the second apartment .
Notes
If you love nature, our house is perfect, but the birds will wake you early and you will see animals around the neighbourhood. That’s the Queensland way of life , enjoy it!

Neighbourhood
Coolum is a lovely little village with a gorgeous beach that stretches for kilometres, also with plenty of walking tracks and boardwalks along the beachside. There are wonderful restaurants. Including the beachfront surfclub where you can wine and dine while watching the waves crash on the beach. Close by is Mt Coolum which is a hikers dream with wonderful views from the top.
Places to visit include Noosa to the north , world famous Australia Zoo , the beautiful hinterland rainforests and Eumundi Markets . Many golf courses are nearby with other sporting facilities as well.
Getting to my home
Coolum is on The Sunshine Coast, about 1.5-2 hours north of Brisbane, the capital of Queensland which is easily accessed by international flights. Alternatively, you could fly into the Sunshine Coast airport, about 30 mins south of Coolum.. There are good bus transport and door-to-door services but we would recommend getting a hire car so you explore at your leisure .
Nearest airport
Sunshine Coast international airport - 30 mins south
Brisbane international Airport-1.5 hours south
Getting around
You can walk to the beach and the town from our place but we are on top of the hill so it’s very steep to walk up in places. A hire car would really be the only way to get around .
