General overview
We live at Nesodden, a peninsula in the Oslo fjord. Our home is a 20 minutes boat ride (boat leaves every 30 minutes) from downtown Oslo. It is quiet here. Deer and squirrels are seen nearly every day in our garden. In the summertime we spend most of our time outdoors on the huge patio. You may enjoy your own private bathing jetty only 2 minutes walk away from our home. We love taking our morning coffee there, after an early dip in the fjord, or sometimes we have a late night beer and a swim there after a busy day in Oslo.
The space
When we built our home in 2017 we focused on modern architecture with lots of glass and open space. We wanted to invite the Scandinavian light in, and also to have as much contact with the fjord and the green surroundings as possible. We hope you like it as much as we do.
Guest access
You can enjoy four bedroms. Three upstairs, where you also find the main bathroom. One huge bedroom downstairs, where the minor bathroom is. Not very accessible for wheelchair users. Sorry.
Notes
We gave all modern facilities in our house, but no TV. We have a panoramic view in stead.

Neighbourhood
We live in a quiet neighbourhood of villas. Mainly gravel roads. This is in the countryside, but still very near the city.
Getting to my home
It is nice to have a car to get around. But you don´t have to. We live 45 minutes by car from Oslo, but only 20 minutes by ferry (no cars on the ferry). When the ferry docks here at the peninsula, a bus always awaits you. The bus ride from the ferry to our home takes 7 minutes.
Nearest airport
Oslo Airport is 75 minutes away by car. Airport express train 19 is minutes from the airport to downtown Oslo.
Getting around
Shopping is a 20 minutes walk away. (3 minutes by car.) Here on the peninsula you find pubs and restaurants. Some of them are super! But we usually go to Oslo, if we want some action. Buses leave every 30 minutes from our house. The bus stop is 4 minutes walk away from our doorstep. All buses leads to the ferry. Busride takes 7 minutes. In 20 minutes the ferry will take you to the very centre of Oslo. Enjoy the scenery on deck while crossing the fjord. When you take the ferry back from the city, a bus always awaits you. Trust me: You don´t want to take your car to Oslo.
