FLAT 10 MINUTE WALK TO CITY HALL AND SEASIDE GREENWAY(FALSE CREEK)
We have a bright well laid out 1 bedroom flat.(750 sq feet ).There are several large established trees that encourage bird life to come visit us on a regular basis. They also gives us a fair bit of privacy in a busy city.
Please note we are on the 3rd floor of a 3 FLOOR WALK UP. No elevator. (circa 1950 building). The flat faces northwest so you look at the mountains, West Vancouver and the down town from the living room.
NO PET CARE NEEDED. We have 4 free flying budgies who go visit their friends at a local bird sanctuary while we are away. We would be delighted to take care of your dog or cat during our stay . We have successfully done so in the past.

Coin operated Washer and dryer on bottom floor of building. Will leave you coins to use . Mountain bikes can be provided also if you want to peddle the city. We are on a bike route.

We live on the west side of Vancouver. The area is referred to as Fairview Slopes. Townhouses and condos make up the landscape. Predominately a neighborhood that consists of urban professionals and medical staff. City Hall and Vancouver General Hospital are the anchors in this neighborhood.
10 minute walk west takes you to South Granville where Pottery Barn , Restoration Hardware and William & Sonoma reside. Walk 10 minutes east of us and you are at Broadway/City Hall skytrain Station , Whole Foods,Starbucks London Drugs and other daily amenities.
You can take Broadway /City Hall skytrain to downtown in 6 minutes. Or walk across the street and take the no 17 bus and be there in 10 minutes. Check out www.translink.ca for transit details to get to top spots like Stanley Park , Queen Elizabeth Park, Capilano Suspension Bridge and the various beaches in and around the city.
It is 10 minute walk to the seaside greenway (Charleson Park). Grab a ferry if you want to see the city on the water. There are 2 companies who do the runs. http://www.granvilleislandferries.bc.ca/schedule.htm and http://theaquabus.com/
If you are here for skiing, you can easily get to the local hills (Grouse Mountain or Cypress Mountain in under 45 minutes. For more of a ski challenge, go to Whistler in 2 hours . Whistler is a year round destination. Most of the 2010 winter Olympic events were held there.
Getting to my home
skytrain stop is Broadway City Hall. Walk 10-12 minutes to our flat from skytrain. Or take no 17 or 9 bus for 3 stops heading west on West Broadway for 4 minute ride.

We can do car swap. We have a small SUV (2010 Mercedes GLK 350). Mountain bikes are at your disposal. Parking is in the back of the building. We can remove the car if you do not want to swap cars and wish to a rent car. You will need a parking spot in this city where parking is at a premium.
