General Overview

We are a family of 4 who love to travel, eat great food, meet people and experience different cultures. We are newbies in home exchange but experienced and respectful travellers. We love city life as well as nature and quite. In Copenhagen we use the nearby parks for walks and running. The public habour pool for swimming - both summer and winter. And we enjoy being right in the middle of the busy and friendly neighbourhood of Vesterbro with all its small cafes, foodmarkets and trendy shops. We especially enjoy our building and the people in it. We have great neighbours! Joshua loves to take photos. Helle Regine has a thing for Danish design. Siri reads thousands of books and Noah plays guitar and is into gaming. Every summer we spend some time in our little cabin nestled deep into the Swedish woods. When we are there, we are open for a non-simultaneous exchange. More and more our teenagers have other plans for weekends or the holidays why we sometimes will be travelling just the two of us. We are looking forward to hearing from you.

The Space

Welcome to our central, charming and spacious Copenhagen apartment of 145 m2. We love our place and the neighbourhood and we are sure you will too. Our apartment easily sleeps 4 people (+ more on matresses if you are a big family). We supply new pillows and duvets for guests. Enjoy breakfast on our sunny balcony facing a wonderful children friendly and communal yard. We are foodies and you will find everything you need to prepare everything from sushi to Moroccan Tagine. We have no time to watch televison and do not have one. However, since we love watching movies we have a big moviescreen and a projector in our living room. We have fast speed fibernet and a Sonos music system. Our bathroom is small but modern an newly renovated. The best thing about our place? We have great neighbours and you can always ask them for advice. You are welcome to borrow our bicycles - it is a great way getting around the city of Copenhagen. Come, come and experience our wonderful city!

Neighbourhood

We are in the heart of Vesterbro a creative and bustling neighborhood in cph. You will find an abundance of cafés, eateries, gourmet restaurants, wine bars and trendy shops. We are but a short bicycle ride down to the harbor front swimming pool. From our place you can walk 5 minutes and you will be in Tivoli and the city center and if you walk 5 minutes in the opposite direction you will have the choice of two beautiful parks and the zoo. Do you like beer? We live right next to the brewery Carlsberg and the Carlsberg Museum. Lots of micro breweries are to find in our hood as well. You can catch the metro, bus or train close to our place and it takes 20 minutes to go by metro to the CPH Airport.

Getting Around

Copenhagen has great bus, train and metro transportation. But easily the best way to get around is by bicycle. We have 4 bikes you can borrow! 😀
