General Overview
Ours is a lovely 2 bedroom renovated character home with a large garden in the middle of Vancouver. The character of our place is modern arts and crafts styling with lots of antiques and charm.
The Space
Our home is a two bedroom garden suite with a full living room with fireplace, a modern kitchen, and an updated tiled bathroom. There are two full bedrooms and a pull out sofa in the living room if required. Our suite walks out to a 400 sq foot garden patio outdoor living room that fronts on to a lovely enclosed garden.
We're a stand-alone home on our own property.
We're on a tree-lined street in a family neighbourhood close to the centre of the city, beaches, mountains, parks and sites.
Guest Access
We are living in our ground floor Garden suite. Access has two sets of small stairs but is otherwise very accessible. There are no stairs in the suite.
Parking for cars is on the street in front. (there is always space).
Notes
We have a labradoodle 'Murpy' who won't be around for our exchanges. Our floors are all hardwood, no carpet, so allergies shouldn't pose a problem.

Getting Around
Vancouver's transit system is good so getting around by bus and skytrain are all pretty easy. There are three main bus stops within blocks of our house, a main one just half a block away. Vancouver is a very walkable city and a very bike friendly city. There are bike paths and routes all over. We typically leave guests a bike map. We can offer a couple of bikes for you to use while here.
We are open to a vehicle exchange.
Restaurants and some shops are all very close by (at the end of our street). Bustling Main street is an 8 minute walk with loads of shopping bars and more restaurants. Our closest grocery store is a 10 minute walk.

brock
Brock is a retired Event and Entertainment Designer and former business owner. Nicci is a landscape architect. We both love travel, the arts, theatre, dance, art, history, architecture. Brock is a longtime native of Vancouver as his great grandfather moved before the founding of the city. We both enjoy all Vancouver's outdoor pleasures including skiing, hiking, kayaking, sailing, fly fishing, salt water fishing, cycling, golf ... all of which are at our doorstep.
We have exchanged in the past but want to do much much more coming up in our future - both short term and long term. We have lived and worked all over Canada and are proud Canadians! We love travelling in Canada but also through Europe, Central America, Great Britain, Ireland, and Scandinavia. We very much want to see Asia, India, New Zealand, Australia, and South America, ... though we are open to all possibilities.
We don't have kids so it's just us. We have a labradoodle named Murphy who doesn't come with us and has a home to hang out in separate from ours when were away. We love meeting new people in new places. We are responsible and will take care of your place like it is our own.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
