Notes
Our Arizona home is our only residency.
I am a high school teacher so I am tied to my school schedule.
In March and October we usually sail so our house is empty and available for non sim or Globe exchanges. We can also exchange for long weekends within 5-6 hours driving distance.
My 6- week summer break runs from June 1st to July 15th.
PLEASE NOTE that Arizona's summers are very hot, with temperatures reaching often 40+C (110+F). We do have pool and three AC units so you will be very comfortable at home but the weather can limit your activities outside.
During summer we escape AZ heat and either spend 6 weeks in Europe or we go on the road trip in States/Canada by combining multiple exchange.
Due to our specific circumstances (sailing twice a year plus very limited opportunities for exchanging simultaneously in summer due to harsh AZ climate) our preference is for non sim exchanges or globe exchanges.
We are open to hospitality exchanges, especially from Australia (planning to spend our 2025 summer there). Please come and visit us, fly into Phoenix, get over jetlag and then go on the road. We will get you oriented before exploring our beautiful Southwest on your own. We have a guest wing with two bedrooms and two bathrooms sitting empty:)

Neighbourhood
One of the best golf courses in western United States is 5 minute from home (Ocotillo Golf Course). Many great trails around the house and in the Valley.
There are several great places around us for day trips (Sedona, Tombstone, http://goldfieldghosttown.com/, https://www.nps.gov/sagu/index.htm).
Grand Canyon is 5h drive form us. We recommend to spend at least three nights on the road in Northern Arizona and visit Monument Valley and Antelope Canyon as well. We will be happy to help you organize your trip.

We are looking forward to hospitality exchanges post Covid and opening our doors to fellow homeexchangers.
Staying at Mirka's house was an absolute treat. The house is stunning, very comfortable and clean. The pool is a welcomed heat relief after a day of exploration. Mirka and Tomasz were very kind to invite us for this hospitality exchange, we also met with their friends and had absolutely amazing time in Chandler.
Thank you very much. And hopefully see you somewhere in the world.
Mirka and Tomasz were wonderful to work with and their home was absolutely beautiful and so comfortable, you felt like you were in a fancy villa in a tropical paradise. The location is surrounded by beautiful trails and restaurants and shopping was just around the corner. Would recommend to anyone visiting the Phoenix area.
We had a wonderful stay at Mirka and Tomasz' beautiful home! The house is spacious, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved the pool and the relaxing terrace, where we spent many hours enjoying the weather (the heat did not bother us, even though we visited in late spring). The house is located in a lovely neighborhood, convenient to many stores and restaurants. Chandler is close to Scottsdale and Phoenix, and there was so much to keep us busy -- museums, performances, outdoor venues (botanical garden, zoo, aquarium), not to mention the great choice of places to eat. Mirka and Tomasz were wonderful hosts, and stayed in touch with us throughout our stay; they could not have been more welcoming. This is truly what home exchanging is about...exploring new places and making new friends. We'd return in a heartbeat! Thank you!
Mirka and Tomasz are such amazing hosts! T
They were so kind and attentive. Several times Tomasz took time out of his very busy workday to come over to be sure we had good internet (which is important for online teachers :) Mirka checked in with us several times to be sure we were comfortable and happy. They were so kind to provide free range yummy eggs, milk and other food for our arrival (with some sweet welcome items!). When we left they sent us a very nice message thanking us for leaving their home clean.
Their home and garden/pool are lovely and so comfortable and private. Their house is huge and it has many features that make it the kind of place you never want to leave. Exercise equipment, TV sets, lots of books, a fantastic kitchen with many nice gadgets, and a quiet, sunny back deck and pool. They are on a 1/3 of an acre and it is one of the nicest houses in their lovely development, which has several small lakes down the street.
We loved our stay and after over 35 home exchanges, this one of the best experiences we have ever had. Thank you so much Mirka and Tomasz!
Mirka and Tomasz home was the perfect stay-cation for us. Their home was absolutely stunning and was spotless upon arrival. The backyard was amazing and the pool did not disappoint. They left us plenty of instructions on how to operate the home and video equipment and lots of suggestions for things to do, places to eat, and see nearby. Was the perfect first time exchange for us.

Mirka and Tomasz were delightful guests. We got to meet before we left and felt immediately like old friends. I knew my house was in good hands. We stayed in contact and got to enjoy their first visit to our city along with them. She even fed our newly arrived bluebirds!
This was the first time we have done back to back exchanges in our home without being there and Mirka made it so easy by getting things ready for the next guests. I feel like we will stay in touch with these two.
Mirka and Tomascz were excellent guests. We met them at the beginning of the exchange, and had dinner together. We felt comfortable leaving our home in their hands, and they did not disappoint. They left our home in outstanding condition, spotless. They also communicated with us regularly during the two weeks’ stay. They set a very high bar for future exchange guests! It was a pleasure having them!
Mirka, Tomasz and their two friends were all terrific guests. They took good care of our house and the house was cleaner when they left-than it was when they arrived!
We liked getting to know them and consider them to be warm, kind home exchange friends.
Anyone would be lucky to be accepted as home exchange hosts/guests by Mirka and Tomasz.
Mirka and Tomasz were the perfect guests for our very first exchange. They were able to put our initial anxiety at ease and treated our home with loving care, just as we treated theirs. Even their dog was clean :) They were easy to communicate with, followed all of our house rules, and left the home very clean at the end. Thank you for a wonderful exchange.
Mirka and Tomasz were amazing guests! Mirka is very communicative and even though we didn't meet in person, I feel like I know her! They took such good care of our home and our animals, we are so appreciative. The house was in perfect order when we returned and they went above and beyond to be respectful of our things. They went so far as to buy and leave for us a duvet cover to protective our bedding. Loved getting pictures of them enjoying our place throughout the stay. Very thoughtful people!
Wonderful guests. We met on zoom and had a great time talking and sharing travel experiences.
Kinga is super organized and a master communicator. They left our place in excellent shape, took care
a couple of things that we needed help with being away for several weeks.
I hope that we meet in person somewhere in the world one day!
Wonderful guests! Jennifer is a master communicator, always willing to help and when a couple of things at home went wrong she helped us to solve it even though she was very busy with family activities. Jennifer and her family left our home in a great shape and with a thoughtful note and a gift, both very appreciated! Very recommended guests!
Helen and Eric are amazing exchangers that everyone should wish for. Not only they left our home spotless but helped me get it ready for the next back to back exchange. Helen is always on top of the things, a great communicator, so organized and always ready to help. What a pleasure to get to know them over the course of the last year and two exchanges and become friends. Excellent experience! I hope to stay in touch and have more dinners together.
Morro Bay is a hidden gem on California's Central Coast and Helen and Eric's house is just wonderful, from its location (in a quiet part of town, walking distance to downtown and at the same time on the path to a trail that will lead you to the most spectacular view of the Bay) to all its amenities (comfy beds, well equipped and organized kitchen, beautiful garden and an amazing view from living room) it was a truly perfect exchange home for us. We spend two weeks in Morro Bay and did not want to leave as there is so many things to do and explore there thanks to its proximity to wine country, great state park and many great little cities on the coast.
Our hosts were as delightful as their home, we had a dinner together and are grateful for the opportunity to be able to spend time with them and pick their brains about how to do retirement right:)
If you ever have an opportunity to exchange with Helen and Eric do not hesitate, they are generous, kind and experienced home exchangers that makes the experience of homeexchanging so unique and worthwhile.
Susan and Jim's place is most likely the most unique on the entire PLU. The main picture is part of their most amazing backyard which includes river and bird sanctuary. The outdoor space is extremely well designed, you can watch the sunset comfortably from several vantage points, and they are all breathtaking.
You will feel that you are far away from civilization, yet it is only 10 minutes Uber drive to downtown Charleston, best restaurants in the South and many cultural activities,. I found out that 9 days were too short to explore the city, so many things to do.
Susan does not exaggerate when puts in description that this is the best address in Charleston.
On top of it, cooking in the kitchen of the professional cook will make you rethink the organization of your own:). All of Susan culinary recommendations were spot on!
The owner of this wonderful, historical bungalow were the other highlight of our trip, southern hospitality at its finest, welcomed us in person with gifts and then guided us via text messages while in Europe.
Thank you Susan and Jim for generously sharing your Eden with us. Very memorable spring break for us!

Very cosy house full of family memorabilia and art. We slept very well in their master bedroom, the combination of sleep number bed with dark shades did the trick.
Michael and Gail are were extremely accommodating when our travels plans changed two times and left for us plenty of information about the area and welcoming basket. The views of a Sonoma county from their backyard are just magnificent.
We only regret that we did not have more opportunities to talk to them and get them know better, they are such a interesting and kind people.
Thank you for a great exchange!
Michael and Gail are wonderful guests and very seasoned exchangers, so easy to communicate to, we wish we could spend more time with them. They left our house in perfect order and gifted us a lovely trivet inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright. They are always welcome in our house and we are looking forward our visit in CA. Excellent exchange!
Nick and Terra's Pine home is THE perfect gathering place with spectacular outside living spaces (even better than in pictures).
The house is very well equipped, newly renovated with comfy bed and great bathrooms. In the evenings elks start their parades in the backyard, in the morning the gardens comes alive with multitude of birds and everything smells like pine. This was a most wonderful local exchange in the times of Covid19. We have discovered a little slice of paradise just two hours from home.
Nick and his family treated our home as theirs and left it spotless. The communication was excellent at all times, we have appreciated all the local tips and then Nick's text messages about road closures.
Wonderful, thoughtful and respectful family.
If you wish to escape, Lauren's house is an ideal place to regenerate and slow down.
Almost hundred years old, the house was restored with a lot of love and taste. Surrounded by bucolic hills of Sonoma's dairy country (you may think at times that you are in Scottish highlands), but yet only a few miles from the ocean, you will completely forget that you are one hour plus from San Francisco.
The neighbors are very friendly, sharing local tips and fresh catch. The sense of community is very palatable.
Lauren left us a fantastic Home Guide with suggestions for activities and local food scene. One of the best restaurant that we visited thanks to her guidance was not even on google maps (Dillon Beach restaurant), the bread at Wildflower Bakery a couple miles from home was the best I have ever eaten in States and Lauren's usual 5K jogging loop was my favorite thing to start the day. And then fresh eggs from her chicken for the breakfast, rural life at its best.
Valley Ford is quite magical. If you ever have a chance to exchange with this wonderful family, do not hesitate.
