General Overview
Our spacious home is on Crystal Lake just south of Minneapolis & St Paul, Minnesota. We are 20 minute drive from Minneapolis airport. Our neighborhood is quiet and friendly we feel like we up at a cabin in the woods, yet close to the freeway that can take us to Minneapolis or St. Paul in less than 30 minutes. We are just a few minutes drive to many grocery stores, Mall of America, many paths and bike trails. We have done over 35 exchanges on another site and can provide reviews!
The Space
Our home has 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and can sleep 8-10 people. The master bedroom has a king bed and ensuite bathroom with jacuzzi tub. The second bedroom has a king bed. The third bedroom has a queen bed. The fourth bedroom has 2 twin beds, with one being XL with pillowtop mattress. We have a large family room in the lower level with a king bed, sectional sofa, gas fireplace and game table. We have a four season porch on the main level and a screened in porch on the lower level for you to enjoy the views of the lake in all seasons. It is our primary home, so you will have all of the amenities needed to cook or entertain at home!
Guest Access
You have full access to the home, except for an apartment above the garage, which has a separate entrance. We may be staying there during your stay if the exchange is non-simultaneous.
Notes
We offer a pontoon for your use, but request that we are able to give instructions and you reimburse for gas used. We have 3 kayaks, 1 canoe, some fishing gear and 2 adult hybrid bicycles. We are open to a car exchange for reciprocal exchanges. We have done over 80 exchanges on another site and can give references. Looking forward to exchanging on PLU!

It was great to catch up with Pat and Bruce again. They are wonderful and very generous hosts. They collected us from the airport and had dinner waiting on our first night. We had contact during the exchange and really enjoyed each others company. It was fabulous to be able to have our son, daughter in law and grand daughter join us on this exchange and Pat and Bruce made us all feel very welcome. We’ll remember this wonderful week for years to come. We feel like we’ve made friends for life! -
We loved our time at Pat and Bruce's beautiful lakefront home. The weather was a bit rainy during our visit, but that gave us extra time to hang out in the large basement and play pingo pong and other fun family games. The home is very spacious but still cozy--we loved all the large windows and reading nooks. My husband also appreciated the dedicated workspace as a temporary office. Pat and Bruce's neighborhood is beautiful and very convenient to the airport, Mall of America, and a few nearby state parks. We especially enjoyed the chance to explore a new area during fall apple picking season. Pat and Bruce were generous and experienced hosts with clear and concise communication. We look forward to hosting them and highly recommend them as swap partners! -
There aren't enough superlatives to describe our memorable stay at Pat and Bruce's beautiful lakeside home! Their hospitality far exceeded expectations, including the use of their boats and a firepit (stocked with wood) for us to enjoy in the evening. Their home (close to Minneapolis and shopping conveniences) is situated on a peaceful, private cove abundant with bird life, mature trees, and sunset views. We had only five days to enjoy this stay between work commitments, but this felt like a true getaway that we hope to arrange again next year! We look forward to hosting Pat and Bruce at our home in Spain sometime soon and to continuing this new friendship. With gratitude, Michele and Larry
