This is a duplex I own in the Quartier Rosemont La Petite Patrie and serves as my secondary home when I work from the office. My daughter ( 28) and her spouse live on the first floor. You are located in a very desirable section of Montreal close to Beaubien Street with all its shops, restaurants etc etc. Walking (10-15 min) to two different metro stations, multiple public buses at the doorstep or almost, bixi stations ( bikes) available for rental. Molson park, Beaubien Cinema 5 minutes away. it makes for an ideal starting point to visit Montreal and come back to a more quiet environment. there is a nice private terrace in the back to relax and enjoy the sunset.
The space
This is a fully renovated space with a nice design in an openspace concept that allows for very generous sunlight. Two bedrooms one with a queen and the second with a double bed. A spacious bathroom and complete kitchen for those who enjoy cooking their own meals. Groceries and specialty shops are all at walkable distance. I added air conditioning for those warm summer days for added confort. My daughter is very proud of her garden and access to the BBQ is possible.
Guest access
Access is through the front or backyard outside stairs in what is a very common concept in Montreal. That requires good concentration especially in winter when slippery.
Notes
I have good wi-fi but no cable for the TV as I am not there often enough to justify. I could be open to animals altough considering floors are brand new I would discuss it in advance. Parking is possible on the street in front of the house.

Neighbourhood
You will find a quiet surrounding with close access to more major streets. Groceries, specialty shops such as a bakery ( very good) right on the corner, restaurants, pharmacies, a cinema, a small park (Molson), that holds a market on saturdays in the summer or sometimes outside concerts or events ( there is a public piano), ping pong tables, all walkable. the perpendiculary street next to mine as a bike path that allows quick access to other sections of Montreal on a Bixi bike that you can rent at a station close to my house. public transport ( buses and the metro) are easily accessible.
Getting to my home
Easily accessible by car with free parking being possible ( sometimes with a little patience) close to the house, by bus, metro or taxi from the airport.
Nearest airport
My house is 20km from the Montreal International airport so plus or minus 30 minutes by car or taxi and probably double with public transport.
Getting around
As indicated many possibilities are just walking distance, bikes, public transport or taxis will cover the rest.
