Travel schedule - We have several exchanges thru Summer 2020 so can only accommodate short weekend exchanges or exchanges over short school holidays. Our travel schedule is limited to the following school holidays and breaks: * Summer Break: June 1 - August 10 * Christmas Break: Last 2 weeks of December * Spring Break - usually last week of March * MLK weekend - third Monday of January * Memorial Day weekend - last Monday of May * Labor Day weekend - first Monday in September * Indigenous Peoples Day weekend (aka Columbus Day) - October 8, 2018, October 12, 2020 * Presidents Day weekend: third Monday of February
Our neighborhood is very friendly, quiet, and extremely safe. You will often see people walking their pets or strolling to the park with their kids. The award-winning Lombard Commons public pool is within walking distance, as are many beautiful parks (including nationally recognized Lilacia Park).
Downtown Lombard is an easy 10 minute walk, as is the Metra (train) station. Will be helpful to have a car for getting groceries but not 100% necessary.
