Globe offers welcome. Self contained upper floor apartment. This is our holiday apartment, only used by us and never rented out. It is on the whole top floor of a detached house, the downstairs apartment is rented long-term. We designed it ourselves so it's perfect for a couple (or 2 couples) with all the comforts of home. Located next to a huge park and surrounded by trees. Easy care so you can relax and enjoy your stay!

Happy to offer pre-trip planning help so you can make the most of your time in Western Australia. May also be able to meet up for a coffee/ lunch/ etc depending on circumstances :)
We enjoyed our 10 night stay at Linda and Graham’s comfortable, clean and quiet apartment. It was so well equipped with lots of personal touches and plenty of information about where to go and what to do.
The location is extremely convenient for getting around. We actually hired a car but it is possible to manage with public transport, depending on what your plans are.
A special thank you to Linda and Graham for letting us stay an extra night due to changes to our flight home. 😊🙏🏻
We would definitely recommend that you stay here if you are planning a visit to Perth.
Absolutely perfect for us. Thanks Linda. We really appreciated it.
we loved everything about this tidy two bedroom apartment. it was uber organized, clean, pretty, well thought out and everything we needed was right where we could easily find it. the apartment was quiet, close to bus and train in the perth area and very safe and secure. two nice grocery stores were one train stop away if you don’t have a car. we walked over to king’s park through some very nice neighborhoods full of old style, beautiful perth homes. we got an opportunity to meet linda and graham who are very friendly, generous, and well traveled. everything about this australian stop was a plus, plus. thank you for the stay. we rate it A+.
We stayed and Linda's apartment in Subiaco during our stay in W Australia in 2022. The apartment is fantastic, very modern, clean and fully equipped. The location was equally perfect for us with easy access to Kings Park, the various coffee shops and restaurants in the local area and of course down town Perth which was only a 10 minute drive away. Everything about this exchange was perfect and I would fully recommend exchanging with Linda who is pleasant, easy to communicate with and super responsive to any questions etc. Would love to stay again in the future!
Linda and Graham have a lovely well appointed comfortable apartment. Location to city, Fremantle and wonderful parks so very convenient- no need for a car. They are are wonderful hosts I felt very much at home.
We made our way back to Nova Scotia from Perth during the COVID19 crisis but it was hard to leave Australia's west coast. We arrived at the apartment on 5 Mar 2020 and left 14 Mar 2020.
Linda & Graham's Daglish apartment was about as perfect a unit and location that one could hope for. With a short (5-10 min) walk to the train, traveling to the downtown Perth and Fremantle areas was ideal.
Ours was a group of 4 travelers and the unit itself is well appointed with everything needed for a short to long term stay.
We were able to text and email with Linda & Graham very easily with quick responses to any questions. On our way further south we managed to meet up with Linda & Graham at their home and we had good visit.
Hopefully life and travel with return to something more typical and we will be able to host Linda & Graham when they make their way across Canada.
Thanks
Bill C.
We had a great stay at Linda's and Graham's apartment in Perth. It is clean, quiet, comfortable, well-equipped and conveniently located. Linda responded promptly to any enquiries and was a pleasure to deal with. We look forward to their trip to Vancouver next summer.
Linda's place was one of the best exchange homes I have ever been to! To start with, the communication with Linda and Graham was effortless - they provided great detail and were very helpful in planning our trip. Check-in was easy and straightforward.
The apartment itself is perfect for a couple, in a great location in Perth just a few minutes to the beach, with a park right next door. Linda provides bikes to use to get around which was perfect for the weather in Perth which was sunny and warm. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Good guests and lovely people. This non-simultaneous exchange has been long in its completion. So good to finally have hosted Linda, Graham and her sister and brother-in-law who we met up with Amsterdam and Western Australia in 2023. My cleaner reported that they left the house in good shape, and they exceeded the departure checklist. A few changes to our arrangements over the months were readily sorted out. Linda is an excellent communicator and positive, helpful person.
Linda and Graham (and their in-laws) were great guests, leaving the house very neat and tidy and even washed the linens. It was also lovely to meet up with them in Whistler
It was an absolute pleasure hosting Linda and Graham at our property! From the moment they arrived, they treated our home with the utmost respect and care. Communication with Linda was excellent throughout their stay, making the entire process seamless and enjoyable.
They left the property in immaculate condition, showing great attention to detail and consideration for our space. Linda followed all house rules diligently and left everything tidy, which we truly appreciate.
Not only were they wonderful guests, but they also left a positive impression with their friendly demeanor and respectful attitude. We would welcome Linda back anytime and highly recommend them to anyone thinking of exchanging with Linda. Thanks again.
I was a bit worried that Linda and her husband would be frustrated coming to Tignes out of season when so many things are shut and the fact that they were unfamiliar with high altitude mountains also concerned me. But we chatted quite a bit and I'm glad to read that they were not disappointed. Hopefully we'll actually get to meet when we go to Daglish!
Linda was such a great exchange partner. She and her husband gave us a globe for our guest cottage in France. She was such fun to correspond with - sending us pictures and videos and giving us great tips for the local area (since we haven’t even had time to be there ourselves yet!). She left everything in perfect shape. We’d love to host her anytime in the future if she and Graham return to France.
Linda and Graham stayed with their daughter and son in-law. My home was lovely on my return washing done and everything as I left it. Graham even sorted out my TV sound bar connection for me - very grateful. Thank you
Linda and Graham were the perfect guests for our first PLU exchange. Communication prior to and during the exchange was excellent. At Linda's suggestion we co-hosted a PLU meet up in Portland prior to their trip to our home on the Oregon coast. Such fun! It's a joy to get know people, like Linda and Graham, who exemplify the true spirit of home exchanging. We hope to travel to their part of the world some day.
It was wonderful to get to Victoria for our half of this exchange. Robin's house is in a fantastic location, close to the beach/ Dallas Rd scenic drive/walk, only about 10 minutes into the city and convenient for everything. I was even tempted to go for a swim at the local beach (yes, it was freezing!!) The house was absolutely immaculate, and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. We loved sitting on the back deck in the morning. Robin and I have been in touch many times over the past few years arranging our respective trips and we've been fortunate to meet her and Colin several times too. Would highly recommend an exchange with them.
Great stay in Vancouver - over 4 years after they came to Perth! Just wish we had a few more days. Lovely quiet neighbourhood and comfortable house to relax after a busy day exploring. Highlight was a day trip to Whistler, with the chance to catch up with Geoff and Irene for a drink while there.
Amy and her family were great guests and left our house clean and tidy. We met Amy and her children when we stayed at her second home in Mandurah and they are all friendly and polite, so communication before and during the exchange was easy. We wish them well on their future exchanges!
We had a great stay in Mandurah at Amy's place. Although it's not far from where we live, we hardly ever visit, so it was nice to be a tourist in our own back yard. The apartment is really well equipped with everything you need, beautifully clean and comfortable. We loved having breakfast on the balcony and it is close to shops. There was plenty to keep us busy in Mandurah including visiting all the Giants. We had the chance to meet Amy and look forward to having her at our place next month.
Judy and Gary were great guests. Communication was very easy and they left our home lovely and clean and even did some of the washing which was appreciated. They are welcome back anytime.
Jennifer and Stuart were very easy guests - great with communication and left our home clean and tidy. Would be happy to welcome them again anytime.
So great to finally welcome Robin and Colin after several years of discussions arranging the exchange, and a meeting with them in Amsterdam a few months ago! They were great guests and left our home clean and tidy. I was very happy to hear they enjoyed their stay. We are looking forward to going to their home in Canada next year!
We were promised spring flowers and a little bit of snow on the ground in June, and that's exactly what we got, along with some perfect sunny (but cool) weather. We came before the summer season opened so Tignes was very quiet - which we knew would be the case, and we really liked. A few locals, tradesmen and altitude training athletes around. The hiking and views are absolutely amazing and breathtaking! The higher parts of some of the hikes were closed due to snow but there were plenty of other hikes. The apartment was fine for the 2 of us - we used the bunk beds, which were comfortable. It's not stocked with consumables so bring your own, or there is a supermarket a short walk away. The view over the lake from the apartment is just wonderful! Thanks again Christina and see you in Australia next year!
We've had a fabulous time in Montsoreau, at Lara's place. In fact we extended our stay, so were here nearly 2 weeks.
This was my first time to France and I feel like we hit the jackpot - it couldn't have been a more perfect location.
Montsoreau is officially one of the most beautiful villages in France, with charmingly crumbling limestone homes trailing down the hillside to the Loire River. A beautiful classic chateau right in your backyard, and narrow, winding streets filled with roses in bloom. Perfect, right?!
Add to that the Loire a velo (cycle route) going past the door and as many Chateaux, castles and churches anyone could ever want to visit.... (and wineries). Oh and did I mention fascinating troglodyte homes (cave homes) all along the river, carved into the hills?
So if you are dreaming about a quiet French village, surrounded by wine-growing vineyards and chateau, away from the tourist rat-race but with everything you need, I recommend Lara's place.
The 'annexe' apartment was perfect for the 2 of us with a large bedroom and bathroom upstairs (loo with a view of the chateau), and kitchen/ dining and lounge downstairs plus the courtyard. It had everything we needed, and lots of character.
We especially liked: cycling from Montsoreau to Saumur and return, cycling from Saumur to Gennes and return. Breze Chateau (highly recommend, very unusual and interesting). We also did some hikes through the countryside, a historic walking tour of Saumur, and visited Pierre et Lumiere (scale recreations of many local chateau), The gardens of Puygirault and the mushroom museum (it's a 3 in one ticket). But the best thing was wandering the little lanes and alleys, smelling the roses and relaxing in the courtyard. We visited in June, the weather was hot and sunny, and there weren't many tourists around. Thanks again Lara!
I'm so glad you both had a good time! Thank you for sharing your adventures and pictures with us. We're so happy to share our love of this part of the world with you and we so appreciate you both being good sports and enjoying the guest cottage even with all the construction going on at the main house. We look forward to following along with the rest of your home exchanging adventures. :)
We really enjoyed meeting Chris and Brenda while they were here in Western Australia. They were easy to communicate with, friendly and polite, and left our home (and car) clean and tidy when they left, they even did the washing which was really appreciated! We are looking forward to our stay in Utah sometime in the future!
Great exchange with Mike and Brigette. They left our home beautiful and clean - they went above what we asked and washed all the sheets and towels too! Communication was easy and friendly. Nice to have them stay after our original exchange with them for 2020 was cancelled. Would happily have them stay again.
Carol and her friend Cate were great guests. Our house was left absolutely spotlessly clean and tidy, communication was easy, and they even helped deal with an unexpected issue (problem with the aircon controller) without a fuss. I would have no hesitation in recommending Carol as an exchange partner.
Perfect (simultaneous) exchange with Carol! Her home is light and bright and was very clean and welcoming. The location is great - near the beach which has a walk trail along it, and just a 5 minute walk to a cute shopping village and the train station. You can catch the train into the city very easily. We enjoyed day trips to the Dandenong Ranges, Mornington Peninsular (gondola ride up Arthurs Seat) and Williamstown. We enjoyed meeting Carol when she arrived at our house, and really appreciated her allowing our daughter and son-in-law to stay with us for a few days too. Communication was easy and friendly. Thanks Carol for a wonderful exchange.
Thank you Linda and Graham, you are welcome anytime - hope we can catch up when you visit Melbourne again
We were very happy to welcome Carol and her friends to Perth. They left our home very clean and tidy and communication was easy and friendly.
Nancy and Brock's house in Manzanita is wonderful! Light filled with views of trees from every window, spacious, well designed, clean, and well appointed. It feels like you are in a forest, but just a short stroll to the beach. There are also shops and restaurants within walking distance. We loved exploring the Manzanita area, Nancy recommended hikes for us which were beautiful. We even saw a bear, a huge eagle and lots of seals. Communication was very easy and we enjoyed meeting Nancy and Brock in Portland before our exchange. Highly recommend an exchange with them!
Bill and Shelly (and their 2 friends) were great exchange partners. We really enjoyed meeting them and look forward to our stay with them in the future. The house was left beautifully clean and tidy, and communication was easy.
Geoff and Irene were great guests, very friendly, good with communication and they left our house clean and tidy. We look forward to visiting them sometime in the future.
Eric and Andy were the perfect guests at our home, everything was left lovely & clean when they left, and they were great with communication. A very friendly couple, would recommend an exchange with them.
