General overview

Globe offers welcome. Self contained upper floor apartment. This is our brand new holiday apartment, only used by us and never rented out. It is on the whole top floor of a detached house, the downstairs apartment is rented long-term. We designed it ourselves so it's perfect for a couple with all the comforts of home. Located next to a huge park and surrounded by trees. Easy care so you can relax and enjoy your stay! Here is a recent review from exchangers at our house: "Linda and Graham's place is superb! Both the home and the location could not be topped. Bright, serene apartment, fully equipped, in a charming neighborhood. The bikes and proximity to the train station are wonderful. Communication with Linda was perfect and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We wholeheartedly recommend this home, which is among the best HomeExchange experiences we've had!"

The space

Large full kitchen with dishwasher and breakfast bar, comfortable lounge area, and indoor/outdoor dining area. Two bedrooms (both with queen beds), one bathroom with built-in laundry, separate toilet.

Guest access

Located on the second floor (up one flight of stairs), with our own private garage and entry door. We have a keycode lock for easy access.

Notes

If you are interested in Australian Rules football you can catch a train to the new stadium to watch a game. Sculptures by the Sea is held in March at Cottesloe beach and the Kings Park Wildflower Festival is on in September. Neighbourhood

Located in Perth's leafy western suburbs we are less than 10 minutes drive to Claremont, Subiaco, the Swan River and Kings Park. 15 minutes to Cottesloe/ Floreat/ City Beach. 15 minutes to Perth city. Central location with easy access to everything. This is a safe and friendly neighbourhood.

Getting to my home

Fly into Perth International Airport. I recommend a rental car to get around. We are about 30 minutes from the airport.

Nearest airport

Perth, 30 minutes drive.

Getting around

We are a short walk to the Perth-Fremantle train line and on several bus routes. We can also provide bikes on request - there is a bike path along the rail line and you can safely cycle to the Swan River, Kings Park, Perth and Fremantle, the beach and the shopping centres. There are also several bus routes very close by. You can catch the train direct to the Rottnest ferry port in Fremantle.

Feedback

  • We made our way back to Nova Scotia from Perth during the COVID19 crisis but it was hard to leave Australia's west coast. We arrived at the apartment on 5 Mar 2020 and left 14 Mar 2020. Linda & Graham's Daglish apartment was about as perfect a unit and location that one could hope for. With a short (5-10 min) walk to the train, traveling to the downtown Perth and Fremantle areas was ideal. Ours was a group of 4 travelers and the unit itself is well appointed with everything needed for a short to long term stay. We were able to text and email with Linda & Graham very easily with quick responses to any questions. On our way further south we managed to meet up with Linda & Graham at their home and we had good visit. Hopefully life and travel with return to something more typical and we will be able to host Linda & Graham when they make their way across Canada. Thanks Bill C.

  • We had a great stay at Linda's and Graham's apartment in Perth. It is clean, quiet, comfortable, well-equipped and conveniently located. Linda responded promptly to any enquiries and was a pleasure to deal with. We look forward to their trip to Vancouver next summer.

  • Linda's place was one of the best exchange homes I have ever been to! To start with, the communication with Linda and Graham was effortless - they provided great detail and were very helpful in planning our trip. Check-in was easy and straightforward. The apartment itself is perfect for a couple, in a great location in Perth just a few minutes to the beach, with a park right next door. Linda provides bikes to use to get around which was perfect for the weather in Perth which was sunny and warm. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
