People Like Us Local Guide
Happy to meet for a meal or a drink and get to know other people like us!
We loved the house, it was super clean, tidy, beautiful decorated and spacious, perfect for children as they have a playroom and also de Home Ed Shed in the garden full of materials for crafting, my girl's paradise.
The communication was amazing, we really made new friends even if it was sim and we couldn't see each other, but I felt like they are so much "people like us" and I hope we will meet in the future!!!
We really recommend exchanging with them and discovering this part of England!!!
Missy & Zoe were exceptional hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at their well-appointed townhome, conveniently located near a bus station and just minutes from the train station. Their remodeled kitchen was a highlight, fully equipped and perfect for preparing a variety of meals. The nearby supermarket and fast food options, just a three-minute walk away, added to the convenience.
Taunton, Somerset, is an excellent base for exploring the South-West region of England. During our leisurely three-week stay, we visited Bristol, Bath, London Paddington, and Reading using our BritRail London Plus Pass.
Communication with Missy & Zoe was outstanding. They graciously accommodated our request to amend the exchange to a non-simultaneous one. We are especially grateful to Missy for giving us a ride to the Taunton Train Station, ensuring we caught our flight from Heathrow on time.
How lucky were we to have Zoe & Missy offer us their home? Very lucky is the answer!
We met them both prior to our exchange and knew instantly that not only would their beautiful home be perfect for us so would they as a couple and a family.
Zoe, Missy, Willow and Luna are an adorable family and their home is wonderfully quiet, spacious and comfortable with everything you could possibly need to a fab home from home experience.
We chatted lots before and during our stay and this has and we know will continue..
Taunton in Somerset is a lovely town and the location of their home is just perfect.
We look forward to hopefully welcoming Zoe, Missy, Willow & Luna to our Funchal home sometime in the future. Thank you so much ❤️
Highly recommend this place (especially if you have kids)! Zoe and Missy are wonderful and very thoughtful, communication was easy and everything was very smooth. The house is spacious, clean and has a lot of toys. The Quantocks area is close by and was so beautiful for hiking or just strolling around.
They were the perfect guests. They took care of our house as if it was theirs. I will absolutely recommend to exchange with them
Zoe, Missy, and their kids were excellent exchangers. They were so fun and easy to communicate with and they left our house neat as a pin. There was no sign that children had been in the home, except for the adorable drawings they left for us with their Moms’ good bye note. We would have loved to go to their home in the UK, but the timing didn’t work out, but we hope to do that in the future. You won’t regret exchanging with Missy and Zoe-highly recommend!
Zoe & Missy were absolutely lovely guests. They tried to make things as easy as possible for us. Though the house wasn't set up for children they were agreeable with the setup. They were also great at communicating during the whole exchange process. And our home was well cared for. We look forward to spending time at their Norton Fitzwarren UK home next year.
Unfortunately this lovely family couldn’t go to Sweden due to a passport incident. Despite this they made their home available for us, we’re forever grateful!
Communication with Ana was so easy! They were great guests and left the house super clean. We’d definitely exchange with them again. Such a great family!
We had a lovely stay in Ana’s home in Cuenca! It is an especially nice stay with kids. There were plenty of toys for our girls to play with, and we all loved the pool! It was easy to walk into the shops and cafes in the new town and the historical buildings and sights of old town were gorgeous. We also really enjoyed the archaeological and science museums. The high speed train also made it convenient to travel to Madrid and Valencia.
We also really enjoyed getting to know Ana and her family and look forward to the day we can meet them in person!
Teresa and Masami were great guests! They were easy to communicate with, respected our home, and left the house very clean upon departure. I also had the chance to meet them briefly while driving them to the train station, and they seem like a very nice couple. We would definitely recommend them as an exchange partner!
We had the best trip at Tom and Laura’s. The house is beautiful. Lots of space, amazing kitchen and incredible views. Tom and Laura were really accommodating and ready to help if we ever needed them. We had the best trip and would thoroughly recommend a visit to the area and exchanging with Tom and Laura. We travelled with a 2 and 4 year old and it was great for them. Some nice parks nearby and lots of trails to explore. Grocery stores are nearby and the house is close to some great attractions. Super grateful for our stay.
Pauline and Gary were wonderful guests. We met them beforehand and were so grateful that these two would be staying in our home. Communication has been great and the house was left immaculate. Pauline and Gary are great people who would we trust with our home again and hope to keep in contact with.
We had an amazing stay in Teresa and Masami’s Henderson home! Their home is in a very nice (and new) neighborhood with a wonderful park area. The home itself was very clean and spacious and had everything we needed during our stay. Teresa was easy to communicate with and was always ready to help answer our questions. We’d highly recommend an exchange!

Unfortunately, we had to change our holiday to a non-sim exchange due to a lost passport but are really excited to visit Mia's home in the future!
Mia and her family were amazing guests! We are so glad we got to meet this wonderful family at the beginning of their stay. They were very easy to communicate with and left our home in great condition when they left. We would definitely welcome them back!
