Most people would know this area as being "Sun Valley", Idaho. It has again been ranked as the #1 ski resort in North America. My home is in the town of Hailey, about 20 minutes from my front door to the door of the gondola. The paved bike path connecting all our towns in this valley is 2 blocks away. It is groomed for XC skiing in the winter. The Big Wood River is 4 blocks. Lots of parks. Many hiking trails. Most every reason for "going to town" is 1 to 2 blocks away like a grocery store, coffee shops, restaurants, wonderful bakery,
library, hardware store, sports store, live theater, shopping, etc.
The space
This 3 year old house is one level, 1050 sq feet and I built it with handicap accessibility in mind. The kitchen is fully supplied with quartz counters, stainless appliances and is a joy to work in. It's open to the dining area and living room with a gas fireplace and a couch that folds down to a queen bed. There is a small office area off from the living room. The bedroom has a queen bed with the master bathroom steps away. There is no bathtub but a large walk-in shower. Large counter. On the way to the one car heated garage is a laundry/half bath room. There is a mother-in-law suite upstairs rented to my friend. It has a separate entrance. Heated wood and tile floors throughout.
Many large widows and 3 skylights so it's very bright and sunny inside. With the big maple's shade, it stays very cool in the summer.
The garage is heated but only a 1 1/2 size. There are 2 steps to get into the house. The driveway is paved with pavers.
The yard is fenced (white picket with an arched garden gate.). It's quite lovely though very small. There's a waterfall right at the front entrance and flowers throughout with a small grass area for seating. My yard was in the Botanical Garden's Annual Tour this past summer. It is pretty easy to maintain - drip irrigation system. This is a corner lot giving a larger feeling.

Notes
This area is considered "high desert" so it is very dry. Altitude is about 5700 feet. And it definitely is sunny.

Neighbourhood
Really wonderful neighbors. Always helpful but never nosy. Sidewalks and a bike lane on the street. Surprisingly quiet being so close to the town core.
Getting to my home
There is only one main highway through this Wood River Valley. I-75. Boise (capital of Idaho) is a 2 hour drive, Twin (Costco) is one hour. This is definitely a destination resort as there are no big cities close by.
Nearest airport
Airport is a 5 minute drive. The planes arrive and depart at the south end. I live on the north side so we rarely hear the planes.
Getting around
Best to have a car. I do have an electric bike and a spare truck if you need another vehicle. The bus stop is about 2-3 blocks.

This was the most wonderful experience. Such a beautiful space in a breath taking part of the world.

You would want to pay this couple to come stay at your home. Over-the-top clean. Nothing out of place and a nice thank you gift when they departed. My cat fell in love with them and moped about when they left. Great sense of humor too. The Best!!!!
It's one of 3 towns in The Wood River Valley besides the village of Sun Valley making up what is known to many as "Sun Valley". Hailey is where the airport is located. The main ski mountain is 11 miles north.
"Bought an empty lot in the fall of 2021. Would like to return on occasion while my home there is being built. Won't need to do this until, at the earliest, summer of 2022."
