BEYOND CHARLOTTE
Using our car, travel to Asheville and tour the Biltmore Estate or hike the Blue Ridge Parkway near Blowing Rock. The NC mountains are stunning. A bit further, stick your toes in the Atlantic Ocean and board the USS North Carolina battleship in Wilmington. Our place is the perfect home base!

The Space

The house is approximately 2250 square feet. The downstairs boasts 2 family rooms with large screen TVs. There is also a third TV on the outdoor patio. The remodeled kitchen has everything you will need to make gourmet meals or enjoy your take out. Our son is a chef in town and has outfitted the kitchen with every kind of tool and gadget.
The upstairs has 4 bedrooms- 1 king with en-suite bathroom, 2 queen bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom with a large bathroom to share. There is also an air mattress if needed.
The outdoor space will become your second home since there are at least 7 months of the year with fantastic weather. Relax on the backporch and take in the beautifully landscaped yard. At night, use the fire pit and make s’mores.

Guest Access

Guests will have full access to everything in the home. Be aware that all bedrooms are on the second floor.

Notes

We have two dogs that are dearly loved and come on trips with us whenever possible. During an exchange, we will make arrangements for them to be cared for at a different location unless you would like to have extra company.

Neighbourhood

Our neighborhood is located in a central area of town called Southpark. It is a very safe area with direct access to the greenway. Feel free to borrow our bikes and enjoy.

Getting to my home

The Charlotte Douglas Airport is 20 minutes from our home. Although you can take the light rail or bus many places, we would suggest having a car for convenience.
