Neighbourhood
We are located on the edge of the town of Windsor which is the Gateway to the Annapolis Valley region of NS.
Windsor has everything you need for groceries, wine, artisanal breads, brewpub, gourmet dining and family dining, etc. A very vibrant small town; Windsor has an active downtown with coffee shops, craft breweries, popular pubs with live music, and a gin distillery. An Italian restaurant known for its wonderful meals and fab desserts, all located on Lake Pizaquid’s waterfront area. Halifax city limit is 30 minutes in the opposite direction with very little traffic and plenty of sightseeing, historical sites & museums, Pier 21 immigration site, harbour tours, larger shopping areas. Annapolis Valley is an easy 20 minutes to our west.
Shubenacadie river rafting is a favorite with our exchangers as is whale watching day trips.

Robert Stanfield International airport. (YHZ).in nearby Halifax
Getting Around
Both Sim or non sim. A car exchange possible if a simultaneous exchange.
You will need a car for sightseeing, grocery shopping, etc. There is no public transit.
Use of our road bikes possible if requested. (or e-bikes if a simultaneous exchange.)
