Neighbourhood

Our home is situated in safe and quiet neighborhood in Dragør South Beach about 15 minutes drive from the city center of Copenhagen. Idyllic Dragør with its cobbled streets, lilacs in bloom and pretty houses, is just a short drive from the center of Copenhagen. The town’s history includes a royal affair, birth of shipping magnate A. P. Møller and the ferrying of Jews across Øresund to Sweden. Dragør and the neighbouring village St. Magleby were founded by Dutch settlers who were invited by the King at the time to grow vegetables for the Court. Dragør is an excellent place to stay when visiting Copenhagen. It's the only place close to the city that offers countryside, city, Beach and history combined and in addition to this, Dragør is currently on UNESCO's tentative list and has been voted one of the 10 most beautiful cities in Denmark. The entire surrounding area is great for taking walks, running, swimming, kite-surfing etc. and there is a Tennis club not too far away. Dragør also offers a Golf course, just a few kilometers away.

Getting around

Copenhagen airport and the city center can be reached by a short bus ride or by car. You can also bike to the center which is approx 12 kilometers in road distance. (We offer 2 bikes that you can use during your stay).

Member description
We are a Dutch-Danish couple, both working in the shipping industry. We are lifelong avid travelers and experienced exchangers. Neat, organized and very respectful. You won't even notice we've been there. We love the energy of a big city but we also enjoy the tranquility of the countryside, anywhere in the world. Restaurants, architecture, culture - walking around aimlessly and soaking it all in.
