Quaint "A" frame cottage with a huge deck. Every room has big, picture windows that provide spectacular views of the Hood Canal (part of the Puget Sound) and the Olympic Mountains.
Come for a visit. Write that novel, play that guitar or just get away from the hustle and bustle of big city life!
The space
Large spacious rooms give our cozy home a wide open feel. End of cul de sac, very quiet. You may fall asleep to sound of owls hooting!
Guest access
Small set of stairs to access house. Not wheelchair accessible.
Both bedrooms are upstairs.
Entrance by combination lock on door.
Notes
Bedrooms are accessed by spiral staircase, which might be tricky if you have special needs. Oversized luggage may provide a challenge as well.
Although children are welcome, I would worry about them in the loft overlooking the den. Even though it has a rail, it's not optimum for toddlers.
Floor plan is open and spacious to provide the best views. Blackout curtains in loft bedroom provide privacy, but there are no doors (see the posted photos).
Marine animals are quite transient, I can't guarantee that they'll be around during your visit!
As long as people do a good job tidying up, NO CLEANING FEE! But, if your flight leaves early, or you just don't want to be bothered, cleaning will be arranged for $100.

Neighbourhood
You'll fall in love with the meandering costal road that leads to our home. We live in a highly wooded cul de sac, located in a small community not far from many tourist areas. Take our "old school" green Coleman canoe out for a paddle on our private beach!
Alderbrook Resort and Spa (6 miles up the road) has facilities like golf that you may enjoy. However, massage and spa appointments need to be made well in advance.
Close to Olympia, Mount Rainier, and Cascade National Parks. Short 20 mile drive to the ferry terminal to Seattle. Twanoh State park is less than a mile away, it's dog friendly and has an old growth trail, a beach, picnic areas and a pickleball/tennis court.
Enjoy trails in old growth forests and picnics next to the water. Seals, eagles, and orcas have been seen on occasion!
Getting to my home
You will land at the Seattle Tacoma Int Airport in Seattle. There is no public transportation to our home. Renting a car would be best. Always take the ferry instead of traveling thru Tacoma or Seattle. Traffic on the freeway can be brutal! You'll enjoy a fun ferry ride across the Puget Sound to Port Orchard or Bremerton. (If you miss the ferry, you can drive down to Tacoma and back up the west side). Then a 20 mile drive to our home.

Getting around
You will definitely need to rent a car. My car will be available to swap on occasion. There is no public transportation to our home.
