Neighbourhood
Our home is located overlooking one of the best cleanest beaches in Australia. The local council has provided beautiful parks and bike/jogging paths almost at our doorstep. Close by are some of the best dining and cafes you could find anywhere in the world are in Burleigh Heads, Nobby Beach and Miami. We are happy to recommend our favourites!
Burleigh Heads is a southern beach in Queensland Australia, and it has built a reputation as one of the finest surfing beaches in the state. The bottom is all sand, and the southeasterly breezes provide a long and barrelling right-hander. The volume of water that pushes into the bay from the southeast can be mighty, so good surfing prowess is recommended on windy days.
Surf Lifesavers patrol the beach every day of the year, from 8:00 AM to 5:00PM.
A short climb up the cliff at the Burleigh Heads National Park offers a stunning view of the beach and coastline that extends to the north.
A backdrop of Norfolk Island Pines makes an ideal place to hide from the sun and enjoy lunch with the cool breeze sweeping along the beach.
Within a short drive (car or public transport nearby) you will find world class shopping centres such as Pacific Fair and Robina Town Centre.
From our home you can drive to gorgeous Byron Bay and Bangalow (about 45 mins drive).
You can also drive to the World Heritage Listed areas of Springbrook. Springbrook National Park is recognised as part of one of the world's most outstanding and valuable places. In December 1994, the UNESCO World Heritage Committee officially declared the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area over the Scenic Rim (including nearly all of Lamington and Springbrook national parks and most of Main Range and Mount Barney national parks) with the listed rainforests of northern and central New South Wales.
World Heritage listing is a prestigious international recognition of the important conservation values of this area, especially its unique geology, subtropical and cool temperate rainforests and rare fauna.
If theme parks are more your thing we have Seaworld, Movie World and Dreamworld all within reach by public transport or about 30 mins drive from us.
You will never be bored here but if you want to simply relax then our hammock and the sound of the waves will be waiting for you. Australia is a beautiful safe destination so come visit !
Nearest airport
Coolangatta Airport is about 30mins by car and Brisbane Airport about 1 hour 20 mins by car or there are airtrain/uber connections.
Getting around
We are close to grocery stores, hotels, restaurants and all sorts of shopping. We are happy to recommend our favourites. You can walk, ride a bike or there is public transport nearby (bus)
