Getting Around
We are in a quiet little town in the heart of the Nantes Muscadet vineyards, between the countryside and the city of Nantes
20 minutes south of Nantes: the advantages of the city and the countryside.
Several international sites near the house as well as many natural interests: the ocean less than 45 minutes away, rivers on which to canoe, the vineyard where to crawl, the banks of the Loire where to stroll...
But also cultural interests with Clisson, the Italian Pearl of the region
Vertou and its monks' causeway which can be discovered in summer. You will feel like you are walking on the water. Above all, you have to stop at the delicious restaurants that have been there for a very long time!
Mâchecoulet Rocheservière with their medieval quarters
Pornic and Saint Brevin les pins on the south coast of the Loire: coves and immense beaches of fine sand. Not to mention the beaches of La Baule or the town of Guérande enclosed in its ramparts, north of the Loire..,
And of course the Puy du Fou international park only 40 minutes from the house and the Helfest site in Clisson (20 minutes) visitable all year round (metal music festival at the end of June)
We are 2 or 3 hours from international sites such as La Rochelle or the Atlantic Islands (45 minutes from the island of Noirmoutiers renowned for its gentle way of life), Saint Malo and Mont Saint Michel.
We are 3 hours from Paris by train!! Perfect for a day trip!
International airport 20 minutes away,
train station for the whole of France 20 minutes away.

People Like Us Local Guide
We can meet to introduce you to the city of Nantes that we know very well as we are originally from this city!
Armelle and Benoît were exceptional hosts. They guided us in our first exchange on PLU. Communications are clear and fluid We also had the privilege of meeting them in person:)
The house is as described, very comfortable in a beautiful area. The butcher prepares BBQ chickens on Sundays, they are very good (book the days before). The church contains stained glass windows with photos of WWI soldiers embedded in it, very few churches have this feature.
We fell in love with the Puy du Fou, a large park with several of the most grandiose shows!
In hot weather, what a chance to have the swimming pool in the garden to cool off after a day of sightseeing.
Armelle was a warm & lovely hostess who made the exchange very easy. Communication was clear and she had lots of information and great insight into the area. Her house is very comfortable and a wonderful slice of French living. The backyard was an inviting place for our kids to play and the house was easy to navigate - we felt very safe and relaxed there. The town is small & quiet and there is delicious boulangerie in walking distance for picking up bread and pastries. Great location with wonderful restaurants in neighboring towns. Also, Nantes is a short drive away and we were able to make a day trip to visit the Machines De L'ile which were the purpose of our trip. We'll have to come back to see the Puys de Fou! Lots to do, great food, wonderful exchange - we couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommend.
Armelle's home is in a great location to explore small towns/cities/villages, wine region, and a short drive to Nantes where there's plenty to see and do. The beds were very comfortable, and there is a lovely garden where we enjoyed our meals while listening to the birds.
We loved that we could walk a few hundred feet to the nearest Patisserie for daily baguettes, croissants and pastries.
The house was completely consistent with the description and our expectations, pleasant; comfortable and functional. Located in a quiet village, the location was perfect for us 50 minutes from the beaches (Pornic, Saint Brévin) and near Nantes, Clisson, Montaigu, etc. who allowed us to spend great moments inland. We were also able to enjoy the Puy du Fou (1 hour away). what good times.
Thank you to Armelle and her family. The house is very clean when we return. They are guests of great quality.
It was a pleasure to make our first exchange with you!
Armelle and Benoît were travelers who took care of my house and my 🐱cats for a week. Communication was smooth. Beautiful, simple and respectful exchange as I like. THANKS. It was my first exchange on PLU. You are welcome!
Armelle and family were wonderful guests and are welcome back in our home any time. They were quiet, clean, and respect of our home. We were fortunate to be able to meet with them a few times and it was a pleasure to get to know this nice family better. Our home was left so clean after their visit!
Armelle and her family were respectful and considerate of my home. They left it as clean as they found it, and they also treated my car with respect. I appreciated the consistent, easy communication. Since this was my first exchange, I have lots to learn about protocols, guest book information, etc. So it was nice to exchange with someone who had great advice about information to include!
This was our first exchange, and we sincerely want to thank Armelle and Benoit for their help and their precious initiation which allowed us to spend a great holiday with the children. They were able to reassure us and accompany us in this first exchange. Thank you again and well done!!!
Feedback for Magalie·Simultaneous exchange·14 nights
We had a great 15-day stay in reciprocal exchange at Magalie's place. It was their 1st exchange.
We really appreciated the location where his house is, near the Olympic Stadium in Montreal. We could go by metro to the center.
The house itself is nice and the air conditioning was appreciated given the high humidity in Montreal this year.
The kitchen is very well equipped and she had made us a Homebook with all the details with the photos of the appliances which made it much easier to use.
The beds are all very comfortable.
I also liked being able to stand on the outdoor decks at the back of the house to take some time to read.
The neighborhood is very nice and very quiet, with the necessary for food within a short driving distance. .
We also took the opportunity to discover small and lesser-known historical villages in the surrounding area.
We completed this with another exchange in Quebec City itself.
We can only encourage you to exchange with them so that they become members with a lot of exchanges on their counter!
Feedback for Magalie·Simultaneous exchange·14 nights
Magalie was very attentive to the advice I was able to give her for a 1st exchange and was very attentive to returning the house to us as we had left it.
All the instructions have been followed and it's really nice to be able to trust the interchanges that are with us.
The conversations were also very friendly with Magalie and we even had the pleasure of visiting them at their home a few days before our exchange.
Feedback for Jenne & Tim·Non-Reciprocal exchange·2 nights
We really enjoyed receiving Jenne's family because communication was really very fluid with Jenne. We immediately had complete confidence in them and their enthusiasm to come to us was really appreciated. They liked the visit of the Machines de l'Ile for which they stopped at our place. The children also enjoyed playing in our garden. We found our house as clean as we had left it.
We really recommend this beautiful family to future exchangers.
Feedback for Isabelle·Non-Reciprocal exchange·9 nights
Isabelle's house is perfect for relaxing in peace. The swimming pool is really nice and the cats are adorable.
Communication with Isabelle was very pleasant and fluid. Her welcome was very warm and we enjoyed meeting her to discover the house. We highly recommend this exchange!
Feedback for Allen·Non-Reciprocal exchange·5 nights
The house conforms to the description, pleasant and well optimized. Very comfortable for 3 people and even a little more.
The house is very well located for visiting downtown Seattle on foot. It allows you to see the seafront and the edge of the lake too, to spend some time resting. The different neighborhoods of Seattle are to be seen! It is a really pleasant, lively and rather secure city. A breathtaking view of Seattle at the top of the hill on which the house is located!
The surroundings are also magnificent: Mount Rainier and its national park with beautiful walks and treks in the mountains.
Do not forget to make a loop by ferry going to Bainbridge Island! The sweetness of the West Coast!!!
Allen is a great host, very discreet when he was staying in the apartment on the ground floor of the house. He answered our questions immediately. He knew how to advise us for visits!
Highly recommend a visit to Seattle at Allen's home. It is not a destination that Europeans think of but you will not be disappointed!
Feedback for Kendra·Simultaneous exchange·12 nights
Our reciprocal exchange in Kendra's house was a real success. The house is very pleasant, located in a magnificent forest. For her 1st exchange, Kendra knew how to prepare her house for a very warm welcome. The region is magnificent with a lot of things to visit and fairly easy access to San Francisco. The exchanges by message were also very easy.
Her husband was also very responsive when we needed him on site. Thanks to him too for his welcome.
Feedback for Kendra·Simultaneous exchange·12 nights
We also appreciate the care she took of our home. We found it as we had left it as well as the cleaning of our car that we had put in the exchange! I highly recommend this exchange!
Feedback for Sophie·Simultaneous exchange·15 nights
We really appreciated the exchange with Sophie's family. The house is very pleasant as well as its large garden
The region is very pretty to discover with not too high mountains. We enjoyed Annecy and its lake which is full of small beaches and welcoming restaurants, Aix les Bains and its lake too and Chambéry. The small surrounding villages also allow beautiful walks. Obeewan the cat is a cat lover
Feedback for Sophie·Simultaneous exchange·15 nights
Sophie and her family were very respectful of our home and kindly agreed to liaise with the other family that came next to our home. The exchanges with Sophie were very easy and full of confidence. We have discovered common interests over time! I highly recommend them
