A few minutes walk from a scenic lookout with picnic and barbecue area, with stunning country and mountain views. (Similar but grander than the views from our house).

Nearest airport

Cairns (CNS) - just over one hour driving.

Getting around

Atherton is a regional town with a range of shops, restaurants and medical facilities. However there is no public transport within the town. It is about 20 minutes walk from our house to the nearest supermarket. Some pubs and clubs offer courtesy buses. A car is recommended. There is a bus to and from Cairns, a few times each day.
