Hospitality Description: We're happy to host you in our home but we can't promise anything fancy. We have a spare bedroom and we're happy to all fit in somewhere. We are currently two adults and one 16yo daughter along with four dogs. I have been in the area since the 70's so I am happy to give you tips and ideas and I'd love to join if I'm able to get away from work as I am self employed and work from home. We don't mind hosting for one night either if you're passing through and need somewhere to sleep! We can host up to a week with enough advance notice. We also host people through WarmShowers so welcoming people into our home is something we enjoy. No smokers please or other pets as ours don't like to share attention/space :)

Neighbourhood
We live just off the Expressway so there is some traffic noise but nothing that has kept me up at night. Across the street you'll find a Walmart, Albertson's, restaurants, craft stores, pubs, and so much more. A mile and a half from our house is the Deschutes River and Old Mill District. On a calm night, you can hear the sounds from the concert drift up our way. Many trails for walking/hiking in the vicinity.
Nearest airport
Closest airports are Portland (PDX) about 3 hours away or Redmond-Bend (RDM) about 30 minutes away.
Getting around
You can easily walk around for groceries and basic supplies. Depending on ability, you can walk to the Old Mill District (1.5mi or even downtown 3mi). There is a public transport bus that covers a lot of town or the typical back up of Uber/taxi. I recommend a car for the simple ability to get out of town and discover all the nature that Central Oregon has to offer.
