We arranged a long simultaneous exchange in September. Communication before and throughout the exchange was excellent. The detailed, step by step guidance on how to access the apartment and use appliances etc, was faultless. The apartment is centrally located, walking distance to all downtown locations and to the Trolley, and is fully equipped and tastefully decorated. I was also able to use their car which was extremely useful to reach local, but not easy to reach by public transport, locations. Joni and Karol are kind and extremely welcoming and I hope we remain in contact.

Huge thanks to Joni and Karol for a fantastic stay at their perfectly appointed home in San Diego - great for those wishing to walk to Little Italy, the Gaslight District and the waterfront. We were treated with generosity and kindness and were provided with all we needed for a perfect 2 week stay - the bed was comfy, the property was spotless, the kitchen was prepped with everything to create as simple or elaborate meals as one wished - or enjoy great restaurants within a 10 minute walk! Loved sitting on the balcony and watching the sun dip below the roof tops and a peak at the ocean at the end of the day. We'll be back!!

What a great stakeout to discover San Diego and area. Joni provided so much information on things to see and do and joined us for the first day guiding us towards Karol's favourite area in SD. we simply had not enough time to do all the things on our list so we have to come back :-) kitchen is well equipped, bed is comfortable, bathroom is perfect, everything is clean and as shown on the pictures. we have not used the outdoor terrace. area is so easy to reach, very walkable which we love. good fresh vegetables and organic foods nearby on local markets. PLU sure makes friends! see you next year Joni and Karol!

I loved Joni and Karol's condo. Especially the south-facing balcony and the perfect and safe location. The condo is very central: 15 min walk to Little Italy and Gaslamp Quarter. Beaches and all other major attractions are a 10 to 20 minute drive away. Although the airport and highway are close, the condo is very quiet. I hope I can do another exchange in the future with Joni and Karol. I felt definitely at home.

An outstanding experience spending a month at Karol and Joni's, the convenience, location and amenities of their unit made for a wonderful opportunity for us to thoroughly enjoy being with our nearby family for such an extended stay. Hard time believing how fortunate we were with their unit, and this on our very first PLU exchange. Can't wait for our 2nd PLU exchange later this spring...

We spent the whole month of January 2022 at Joni and Karol's place in San Diego and we loved it. San Diego gives you easy access to everything you have to see in South California (even the Mexican side of the border once it has been opened again!). The condo was very clean, comfortable and secure, in a walkable part of Downtown. But, above all, Joni and Karol were fantastic hosts (and guests) and we naturally became friends even before swapping. See you soon again! M&E
