You’ll find beautiful beaches, charming cafés, local markets, and wellness studios just a short walk or bike ride away. • Beaches: Unspoiled and often uncrowded stretches of sand are only minutes from your door—perfect for swimming, sunbathing, surfing, or just soaking in the sea breeze. • Nature: Wake up to the sounds of howler monkeys and tropical birds, and explore nearby hiking trails, waterfalls, and two stunning national parks. • Local Life: Enjoy fresh, flavorful cuisine at local restaurants, join a yoga class, or head out for snorkeling, kayaking, or paddleboarding along the coast. Getting to my home

There are several ways to reach the Caribe Sur, each offering its own mix of comfort, cost, and adventure. Here are your best options: 🚘 Rental Car Driving offers the most flexibility, especially if you plan to explore the area. From San José, take Route 32 through the scenic mountains toward Limón, then continue south along the coast. Travels time 4 hours. 🚐 Shuttle Services For a relaxed, door-to-door ride, both of these services are comfortable and convenient: • Interbus: interbusonline.com • Caribe Shuttle: caribeshuttle.com Pricing (as of last check): • Adults: $59 • Children under 10: $39 🚌 Public Bus If you’re feeling adventurous and budget-conscious, the public bus is an option. • Step 1: Take the Los Caribeños bus from San José to Limón (Terminal: Av. Central 13, Calle Blancos). • Step 2: In Limón, transfer to the MEPE bus to Puerto Viejo (Terminal: Terminal del Atlántico Norte, Barrio México). • Total cost is approximately $20. Tip: In San José, use official red taxis or Uber to move between terminals.
