Neighbourhood
Quiet Green neighbourhood. The advantages of Oslo is that feels like a medium-sized city and easy to get around. Our visitors last summer particularily mentioned how convenient it was to borrow our bikes to take them around most of the town. Oslo offers a wide range of sights and activities all that can be reached by bike or public transport.
- The Munch museum
- The Vigeland park with the human sculptures, also called Frognerparken
- The National Museum for art
- The Nobel museum
- The ski jump at Holmenkollen and the ski museum
- The royal palace (open in the summer)
- Oslo city museum
- The home and atelier of Edvard Munch at Ekely (10 minutes walk from our home)
- Delightful restaurant areas along the sea side, check out Aker brygge, Tjuvholmen and Sørenga.
Oslo has developed into a foodie town with a wide variety of restaurants with flavours from all over the world.
The nature surrounding the city is easily accessible by bike or public transportation.
Walking in the forest or around the sea is also delightful and has endless options in and around Oslo. Swimming is available in the sea, 5 minutes drive/20 minutes bike ride or the Bogstad lake 10 minutes drive or 30-40 minutes by bike/public transportation.
We also need to mention that in the Frognerpark is just 10minutes away on foot.
Nearest airport
Oslo Airport (OSL)- 1 hour away from our home.
Getting around
The metro and bus station is 5 minutes away from our home and takes you all over Oslo.
We also have a car that we might lend. We also have 4 bikes that are available for PLU.
