General overview

We have built a delightful compound on 2 adjacent properties on a hillside in the Columbia City neighborhood of Seattle. It is a sweet spot, we have 2 houses and our Backyard Atelier (Studio) that sits between them. Sarah and I live in the Treehouse, on the hill, our friend Nancy and her sweet dog Vida live in the Cottage below and, in between, we have the Atelier studio for entertaining and for family, friends and Home Exchangers. We are walking distance to the Columbia City, Hillman City and Seward Park neighborhoods. The bus stop is at the end of the street and the light rail is a 15 minute walk away.

The space

The Atelier building is a 400 SF studio with birchwood cathedral ceilings and skylights. It is a wonderful room for sleeping and dreaming. There is a full kitchen and bath, wifi access, a desk and a beautiful deck and garden right outside the door. There is also a hot tub that is available to use, right outside the door.

Guest access

The Atelier is all one floor with no stairs to impede access

Notes

Right outside the door, we have a large deck with patio furniture and gardens adjacent.
