General Overview
Our holiday home is a three bedroom apartment in the picturesque seaside town of Llanca in Catalonia. Totally renovated in 2024, it has a huge roof terrace with 360 degree views of the sea, town and hills. See below for more about gorgeous Llanca.
The Space
We have 3 bedrooms, a lounge with east and west facing balconies. A newly refurbished kitchen (with adjoining laundry room) and bathroom. There is aircon in the main bedroom and all bedrooms have ceiling fans. The main bedroom has a double bed, the 2nd bedroom has twin beds and the third can either be arranged as twins or 1 large double.
Guest Access
Penthouse apartment (of 3) - up approximately 7 steps from street level. Once inside the roof terrace is accessed by a flight of stairs. The rest of the apartment is on one level
Notes
Our home is on top of a steep hill - whilst this gives us really amazing views, some people might find it hard work especially in the warmer months. Therefore a car might be required.
I have marked the apartment as suitable for children, but please note that it is high on the side of a hill, with 2 balconies and a roof terrace, so all children would need to be supervised. Feel free to contact me if you want to know more.
Although we are a plant based family, we understand that you might want to have meat in the apartment. We would be grateful if all traces were removed at the end of your stay.

Llanca is a very special little town, fairly unknown to British tourists. It's 20 km from the French-Spanish border. There is always something going on and they really love a fiesta!
Llançà consists of Llançà village and the Port de Llançà. The older village, has a number of historical buildings surrounding the plaza major. The port is newer, having been developed only in the course of this century. There is a seasonal amusement park for younger children, a water park approx 15km away for older ones. There is possibility to rent boats or enjoy snorkeling and kayaking.
LLanca has many restaurants - some open all year round. There are 2 with Michelin stars. There is also a good selection of shops to wander round and several supermarkets within walking distance.
As Llanca is on a peninsula - there are many beaches to enjoy - some with pebbles and some with sand - you can often find a small one all to yourself. At one end of the town there is even a small dog beach (and a much larger one in nearby Empuriabrava).

Getting to my home
Nearest airports are Girona and Perpignan - 1 hour. Barcelona, 2 hours.
There is also a train station in the town with connections to Girona and Barcelona.
A car is useful, but not essential if you are happy with the hill walk. There is also an electric scooter available for you to use if you wish - please note that helmets are compulsory in Spain (there is one for you to borrow if it fits!)

Getting Around
Llanca is very walkable and everything you need food and drink wise is available in the town including some wonderful local produce. We also have the most amazing bakeries - there are so many, you need to try a different one each morning!
You can get around without a car, but please note that The Atico is at the top of a steep hill. The town is all within about 10 - 15 mins walking and the nearest beach is 5 mins (a bit longer on the way back up!).
There is a train station in the town and buses run to various places, including a summer bus around Llanca that stops at the beaches and the main part of the town.
