Neighbourhood
We are located in North Hills of Sligo Creek, which is 1 mile from the pedestrian-only retail and restaurant zone of Downtown Silver Spring, and roughly 7 miles to premium dining and shopping in D.C.. The Smithsonian is 8 miles from us and is metro accessible. There you will find dozens of free museums and attractions. We are about 1 mile from the Silver Spring Metro which is on the red line. There is also a bus stop a block away.
Getting to my home
We are in a quiet residential area, but we are very close to a busy shopping and dining district. There are some restaurants within walking distance, but the majority are a bike ride away. The Silver Spring Metro is also a bike ride away, and it can easily connect you to many tourist attractions in D.C.. Uber or Lyft usually arrive within 5 minutes of ordering, and there is a bus stop just two blocks away. We are also very close to the 495 beltway which is the main highway that connects the Maryland and Virginia cities surrounding the District.
Nearest airport
We are about 11 miles from DCA Airport, 23 miles from IAD, and 22 miles from BWI.
Getting around
Please borrow our bikes for a very quick commute to the Metro which can connect you to many tourist attractions in DC. The bus stop is also a stone's throw away.

I'm happy to give pointers and suggestions. I work in the bar and restaurant industry, so I stay pretty current on that scene. I also enjoy taking advantage of all of the recreational activities this area has to offer for young families and couples, and I try to stay up to date on that stuff.

Hello! We are a family of three with a 7 year-old son. Sometimes we travel together, as a couple, or with friends and family. We also have a sweet French Bulldog who sometimes joins us on our adventures. My husband and I are divers, and we hope to get our son SCUBA certified as soon as he is old enough. We both work in the bar and restaurant industry, and love to check out the competition :).
