It is a very friendly, community-oriented neighbhorhood. We have two parks (one within half a mile) and two community pools with tennis courts that you may use while you are. One of the draws to our neighborhood in particular is the abundance of hiking trails both within the neighborhood and then easy access to popular hikes along the greenbelt. It is within 5 minutes drive to major grocery stores (Whole Foods, central market and HEB). Other popular shopping in the area (including South Congress) and downtown is within 10 minutes.

Uber/lyft/taxi are the best options to access popular eating/shopping areas. We are open to exchanging a vehicle. There are many wonderful day trips within an hour to an hour and a half from our house. Fredericksburg is 1.5 hrs away and has many great wineries. Driftwood/Dripping Springs are within 30 minutes and have a growing number of wineries and breweries. In the summer, San Marcos and New Braunfels are popular spots to float the Comal or Guadalupe river. Townlake and Barton Springs is about 15 minutes away and is a great spot to kayak, paddleboard or people watch!

We are a family of 5 who love to travel! We love to truly experience the culture, people and food of wherever we go. Matt is an electrical engineer and works mostly remote. Trisha previously worked as a social worker in a therapeutic setting but now stays home full-time and homeschools our seven year old. We love the outdoors, hiking, biking and exploring nature together! Since Matt works remotely and Trisha homeschools our eldest, we are up for traveling most anytime!  We love the mountains, the beach, cities, the US, Europe - really we are up for most any spot just ask! ;). We are very interested in longer exchanges, 2 - 4 weeks ideally. 

Specific dates our home is available for a non-simultaneous swap or globe:
