We’ve recently moved out of the city center and now live in a charming old house with a lovely garden. In summer, you can enjoy our pool, and in winter, we love gathering around the firepit under the stars. It’s wonderfully peaceful here — yet the Danube River is only a 10-minute bike ride away. We have bicycles (including a cargo bike) that you’re very welcome to use.

The area is surrounded by beautiful nature, and the Wienerwald (Vienna Woods) is just nearby for hiking and long walks. The train station is only a 3-minute walk from our home, and trains run every 30 minutes to the city center of Vienna — even more often during rush hour. We often go into the city ourselves and love returning to the calm and quiet afterwards.

For children, this place is perfect. We have almost everything families need — including plenty of space to play and explore. We have a baby and a four-year-old ourselves, so the house is well-equipped for young kids.

Our home is an older house that we’ve recently taken over and renovated a little bit. It’s not huge or brand new, but it’s very cozy and full of character. In winter, the big traditional tiled stove (“Kachelofen”) keeps the house wonderfully warm — it’s one of our favorite things about living here.

It’s a house made for feeling good, relaxing, and enjoying life :)

We live in a small village of about 10,000 people. To be honest, there isn’t a lot going on here — but that’s exactly what makes it so peaceful and relaxing. There are a few supermarkets for your daily needs, and the village is beautifully situated between the Danube River and the Vienna Woods.

The old branch of the Danube (“Altarm”) is one of our favorite spots — perfect for walks, swimming, and boating in summer, and when it gets cold enough in winter, you can even go ice skating there.

You can easily get around by bike — we have several bikes and a cargo bike that you’re welcome to use. And if you’d like to go into Vienna, the train station is just a 3-minute walk away. Trains run every 20 to 30 minutes and take you right into the city center. From home to the city center vienna it takes about 30 minutes.

It’s a wonderful balance between peaceful nature and easy access to the vibrant life of Vienna.

Moritz ist Profi-Basketballer und ich bin Grundschullehrer. Wir sind bereits viel gereist und würden es lieben, wenn unser kleines Mädchen (sie wird im Juli 2022 1 Jahr alt) auch die Welt sehen könnte. Wir haben noch nie das Haus gewechselt, aber ich denke, es ist eine tolle Idee und ich freue mich darauf, es zu tun! Wir würden gerne von Oktober bis Februar eine kleine Weltreise machen. Unsere Lieblingsziele wären Australien, Neuseeland, Südpazifik, Hawaii, Mittelamerika, Vancouver. Aber wir sind auch offen für andere schöne Orte :) Wir würden uns sehr freuen, wenn wir ein paar Häuser tauschen könnten und können es kaum erwarten, neue Leute kennenzulernen :)
