A riverside apartment in a sought after location in the inner city location of Teneriffe. We have direct access to the river boardwalk, many restaurants and all the amenities a very desirous place to live provides.
Our home is a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment with a spacious modern kitchen and open plan dining and lounge area that opens out onto a patio and lawn overlooking the Brisbane River. The main bedroom is ensuited and opens on to the patio overlooking the river, while the second bedroom has direct access to the rear courtyard and is serviced by the main bathroom. A fully equipped laundry rounds out this quite, secure, luxurious low rise apartment in a well managed complex that also provides an inviting pool and BBQ facilities.
While our apartment is on the ground floor, there are approx 6 stairs to access it from the main lobby and a further 5 stairs onto the river broad walk.
Peter and I are experienced home exchangers with many great reviews from past exchange partners. We are well educated, professional people who enjoy travelling, skiing, golf and meeting people of similar interests. We were young retirees from our professions, Peter a forest industry scientist and Kaye an accountant who has also now stepped down from a portfolio of company directorships. We have enjoyed a raft of very different experiences since stepping away from full-time employment such as managing a ski lodge for 6 seasons, and as travel hosts, escorting group tours around the world...and we are still not tired of travelling.
The listing is our primary home, but with alternative holiday homes we can consider simultaneous and non-simultaneous exchanges.

The Teneriffe / New Farm / Newstead neighbourhood is trendy, accessible and close to many of Brisbane’s premier attractions. It has undergone a remarkable transition over the last 20 years from wharves and wool stores to one of Brisbane’s most desirable residential precincts. But it has retained much of its character through the careful restoration of the old brick and timber riverside buildings into modern and attractive apartment complexes and retail outlets.
All the amenities you need: groceries, banks, post office, medical, dental, and complementary medical practices, beauty salons and spas, restaurants, micro breweries, parks, are within walking distance.
Our public transport options are the envy of the rest of Brisbane. We have two high frequency bus services, one with a bus stop at the end of our complex and the very popular city cat ferry service which we access directly along the river boardwalk. These services take you into the city, to Southbank - Brisbane’s home of all things cultural and further afield to places like West End and the University of Queensland.
By car we have easy access to the main highways north to the Sunshine Coast with its wonderful beaches, Australia Zoo and wonderful hinterland hamlets and towns. And also south to the Gold Coast famous for Surfers Paradise beach, Sea World, Dream World and where many Hollywood blockbusters have been made - Movie World.
