General overview
Hi! We are Cody and Emily. We are a couple in our thirties that live in Seattle, Washington. We both work in technology and work (mostly) remotely. My family have been avid members of Home Exchange for over 15 years and I've been on hundreds of simultaneous and non-simultaneous exchanges. Now that my partner and I have set up our life to enable exchanging our own home, we are excited about the possibilities of both short and long terms swaps.
Our highest priority is to find a simultaneous swap for New York (Brooklyn + other neighborhoods), at a minimum for the first week of November (I am running the NYC marathon), though ideally we would like an extended time and are flexible to any time between September through December, up to 3 months.
The space
You will love our blue house at the Greenlake! Our house was built in 1908 and has all the charm of its time with the upgrades to make your stay comfortable. Our first floor (living room, dining room and kitchen) has large windows on all sides, which leads to all-day natural light beaming through and a glorious cross breeze in the summer. Original hard wood floors in the living and dining room, along with mid-century modern decor, which flows into the very large, open and upgraded kitchen. We love to cook so is completely stocked with all the appliances you could need. We love greenery so in addition to being surrounded by PNW woods, we have many plants situated across the house to make you feel like you are one with nature. We have a brand new queen bed in our primary bedroom and a second bedroom with a Peloton, weights up to 45-pounds, and adjustable standing desk with dual-monitors. Perfect for remote workers! Our backyard is under renovation, however you will have access to a dedicated parking space, fire pit, grill, garden and grass area with outdoor furniture.

We're interested in any & all domestic or international offers, short or long term...give us a try! Feel free to inquire with specific dates and number of people (and their ages if you're bringing children) in your traveling party. Yours does not have to be a comparable property. Guest point value may be negotiable depending on duration of stay, dates, time of year, number in your traveling party and other variables. We would love to do a simultaneous/non-simultaneous reciprocal exchange but we are also open to spending Guest Points to stay at your home. We're open to long weekend exchanges within driving distance or approximately 1+ hour flight from Seattle.
On occasion, and with great success, we have agreed with guests to "exchange dogs". Depending on the circumstances could get our "dog fix" by caring for yours.

Neighbourhood
We live in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood, one block west of Greenlake. A prime location for visiting Seattle, you are within short walking distance to delicious coffee shops, a gourmet grocer, and our favorite 3-mile walk around Greenlake. What we love most about our neighborhood is its accessibility to every Seattle neighborhood, none more than a 15 minute drive, and the convenience of getting on our two main freeways, the 99 and i5, which can take you up to Canada or down to Oregon! Phinney Ridge sits along a long ridge which means it has great views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains on the west and Lake Washington and the Cascade Mountains on the east. We are minutes away from the Woodland Park Zoo, Space Needle, original Starbucks location and much more!
Getting to my home
A 25 minute drive from SEATAC airport, its in the heart of everything Seattle has to offer while still in a family-friendly, walkable neighborhood.

Getting around
We are walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, multiple grocery stores, shopping and very easy public transportation. Nearest bus stop is less than a one minute walk. May also be able to offer our car depending on the circumstances.
