What you will love about this home Paradise Found! Aloha and Welcome to Makaha, World famous Makaha is a small town located on Oahu's West shore, about 34 miles (55 km) 60 min drive northwest of Honolulu. The town's main attraction is its family friendly pristine and sandy beach. Some of the best diving, snorkeling and surfing on the island. Our 5th floor gem beckons & welcomes you home with breathtaking ocean and mountain views. You cannot get any closer to the beach! Wake up to glorious sun rises and dine with the setting sun. Paradise awaits you! This is the perfect get-a-way for beach lovers and those that want to experience Oahu off the beaten path but still be within 30-60 min from Oahu's top attractions. The local old Hawaii vibe of Makaha beach brings residents and visitors together to celebrate their love of the ocean. The experience is very different from Waikiki. In our opinion Makaha is magical! Although pristine and quiet 95% of the time we would like to disclose that our condo is located directly on a public access beach. Music / Noise coming from the beachgoers may be louder than expected during "Happy Hour" and evenings particularly on weekends and holidays when locals gather to socialize. We hope you will understand and appreciate the culture of the area. If this is a bother it can be mitigated by closing the lanai doors...turning up the AC and grabbing your favorite beverage!! :) We love Makaha and we look forward to sharing our slice of paradise with you!! Please consider that ocean and weather conditions vary seasonally. Contact us for more info. Summer brings dryer conditions with typically calm crystal clear waters ideal for snorkeling. Winters bring occasionally wetter conditions, Gloriously green mountains and periods of high surf. You'll love watching the surfers from the unit and the beach During periods of high surf we recommend swimming in the heated pool, visiting Pokai Bay or the lagoons at Koolina. Neighbourhood

What you will love about this neighborhood This is one of the last true "country" spots on Oahu. Best place on the island to get away from it all, but still be within 30 min to 1 hour drive to all that Oahu has to offer! Lots to do and see on the west side of Oahu! Or simply do nothing and have a relaxing time. You may not want to leave! Take time to Explore and enjoy the undiscovered side of West Oahu!

Getting around

It is advised to have a car if you want to sightsee and have more flexibility in the area. If you plan on just staying at the condo there is the an Airport Shuttle service for a fee and The City Bus service that can take you to Makaha from the airport. Travel time will be approx.1.5-2 2 hours by bus non peak times. (No luggage on board)
