Neighbourhood
We are in Caswell Heights, a small neighborhood with an eclectic mix of professors, legislators, university students, high tech professionals and young families. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance and the bus stop is very close by. We are about 1 mile north of downtown, right between the Whole Foods flagship store and Central Market gourmet grocery. We love, love, love this funky central Austin location!
Nearest airport
The Austin-Bergstrom Airport (ABA) is about 20 minutes driving from our house. We recommend renting a car or taking an Uber.
Getting around
There are lots of places you can walk to, but to see the most of Austin, you will want to have a car or use Uber or Lyft to get around. We do have a bus stop very close to the house as well.

People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.

This is an aerial view of Austin. It is a very green city with a nice river running through that we call a "lake."
This is our favorite restaurant that is owned by our friends. It is the best pizza in town. It's called Home Slice.
There is a park across the street with lots of trails like this.
Our house is 2.5 miles from Texas Rowing Center where you can rent stand-up paddle boards and kayaks on the lake.
Our house is 3 miles away from Barton Springs, Austin's favorite natural spring-fed pool.

This is our daughter playing in the water at Pease Park, across the street from the house.
