General overview
Our home is a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom full sea view duplex on a private beach adjacent to Yas (Fun) Island in Abu Dhabi 5 mins from Abu Dhabi airport, 40 mins from Dubai.
5 mins from the formula one track, theme parks (Warner Bros, Yas Waterworld, Ferrari world)l
The space
We are child friendly with fully kitted out playroom and a downstairs child friendly TV room.
Guest access
7th floor, elevator. Not wheelchair accessible unfortunately as the main living space and kitchen is upstairs.
2 bedrooms upstairs with kitchen, Terrance and main living space 2 bedrooms downstairs with hall and TV/ second living space.
Notes
We have 2 older female dogs and a live in housekeeper who takes care of them and the home (Yes- that’s a cleaning free holiday!) included with the exchange.

Neighbourhood
Al Zeina where we live is based on Raha Beach, this development comprises of three main complexes linked by a beautiful sea canal which makes a lovely morning and evening walk. Each complex has restaurants bars and coffee shops.
In our private complex we have a beach cafe, 7 pools, a large children’s playground, park, gyms and our own kayak :) We also have a supermarket, off license, and some family friendly restaurants (Nando’s, Italian and a coffee shop) on site.
Getting to my home
Etihad Airways is the national carrier and the airport is 5 mins away. Taxis are readily available at arrivals.

Abu Dhabi International airport, 5 mins away by car/taxi.
Getting around
There is a taxi rank downstairs- Taxi’s are cheap and in abundance. We also have Uber and Careem here (which has “Careem kids” if you need a taxi with a car seat)
Yas Mall and the theme parks are about 7 mins by taxi from our home and will cost approx $6. To get to Dubai it’s about 40 mins and will cost approx $60 in a taxi.
Car hire is readily available at about $40 per day for basic model.

Hello, we and Janet and Jonpaul Simpson. I am from Ireland & Jonpaul is from northern England. We both live and work in Abu Dhabi, Jonpaul is a lawyer for the government and I work at an American University.
We are well travelled being expats for 10 years now, but recently are looking for some family friendly options for our two little girls.
Our home is a 4 bed duplex with full sea views and private beach access in the very popular Al Zeina community next to Yas Island (home of theme parks like Warner bro’s, Ferrari world and Yas Waterworld). We are a 5 minute drive from AD international airport and 40 mins from Dubai. We have access to a 5 community pools and gyms, a large children’s and shops and cafes.
