The building is newly built, the construction was finished in early 2021 so our apartment is freshly renovated and furnished. It has an excellent connection with the city centre (15 min by suburban train) and West Station if you want to visit other Polish cities.
The space
Our apartment is located in the newly built residential area of Warsaw, with new constructions often having an industrial or retro theme. It consists of 3 rooms - 2 bedrooms and one living room together with a kitchen. The apartment is located on the top floor (6th) in the tallest building in the area with a lift available. In the living room there is the entrance to the spacious balcony.
In the kitchen, we have induction hob, an oven, a dishwasher and a microwave. In the living room there is a table, spacious corner sofa and TV with access to Netflix. For summer months, there is also AC available in the living room. In the bathroom there is a washing machine with a dryer. On the balcony, there is a sofa and an armchair, together with a foldable table.
The apartment have central heating (working in late autumn - winter months) and central hot water (not a boiler). There is also an underground parking space assigned to our apartment and on-street parking is also available. Next to the building there is a small green area and a play ground for kids.

Notes
You can use our 2 bikes as there are a lot of biking paths around the house. As we speak English at home, we have several books in English which you are welcome to use. We also have a Netflix subscription which will be accessible through the TV. We are big fans of board games, so you can find a lot of games such as Ticket to Ride, Pandemic, Isle of Skye, Mr Jack, Dixit, 7 wonders, Cluedo or Rummikub. All the games are either in English, or have English translated instructions. We also have some jigsaw puzzles and 3D jigsaws (the entire Hogwarts for Harry Potter fans). You are also welcome to use our picnic equipment such as BBQ, hammocks etc and a small tent.

Neighbourhood
Our apartment is located a new residential district of Warsaw, with good connections to the city. The whole apartment complex is a new build and contains two small convenience shops, pizzeria and several commerce units with medical and beauty services on the ground floor. Across the street from the apartment there is an ecological park, with an eco playground made of wood, outdoor gym and dog playground. There are several cycling paths in the area (and all the way to the city centre), as well as a swimming pool and an ice rink in winter, all within a 15 minute walk. There are also multiple shops nearby - 3 minutes walk to Lidl supermarket, bigger shopping street 5-10 min walk (with bakeries, cafes, restaurants and shops), 3 min drive/15 min walk to Outlet Shopping Mall, and 15 min drive to bigger supermarkets/shopping malls. Park of Poland, which is the biggest indoor water park in Europe, is 30 min drive from our house.

To both airports you can easily get from our home by public transport.
Getting around
Our apartment is well located with excellent connection to the city centre - only 4 stops (15 minutes) by suburban train. The local train station (Warszawa Ursus) is located 8-10 min walk from the house and trains run several times an hour from about 5am until 11pm to the central station and beyond. From the central station it is possible to take long distance trains to all areas of Poland, as well as some international connections such as Berlin, Prague, Vienna and Budapest. The west train station (Warszawa Zachodnia) is only two train stops from our house (9 min) also providing long distance bus and train connections. There are also some city bus stops within a 5 minutes walk which have 24 hour connections to the city and other districts. The main airport (Chopin Airport - Lotnisko Chopina) is located 15 min drive from the house and the cost of taking an Uber is around 4-5€. It is also possible to take a train from the airport with a change in West Station, total journey time around 45 min. 1 km from the house there are entrances to motorways S7, S2 and A2, from which it is possible to drive to any part of Poland. Public transport in Warsaw is very cheap and offers a 50% discount for children and students. The cost of getting from our home to the city center by train is only 0.75€ while for kids 0.35€. 3-day ticket for unlimited journeys within Warsaw cost 8€ for adult and 4€ for child/student, and longer term or weekend only tickets are also available at very good prices
