Neighbourhood

We chose to live in the Coimbrões neighborhood because it's very convenient for a family - the bakery is right next to our building, and butcher, greengrocer, pharmacy, and supermarket are a 5-minute walk away. Many bus lines serve this area, and the Aveiro commuter train line stops at Coimbrões station, also less than 5 minutes away!

Nearest airport

Porto International Airport (OPO) is 15 minutes away by car. Taxi, Uber and Bolt are easy transportation options and usually cost less than 15 euros. Public transportation options (bus and metro) are also available, but they will take over an hour.

Getting around

Bus lines to Gaia town center, Gaia riverside, the beach, and central Porto are all within a 5-minute walk. Especially for groups of 3 or more, taking an Uber or Bolt is usually more convenient and often the same price or less than public transit. The Aveiro - Porto (São Bento) commuter train line stops at Coimbrões Station, less than 5-minutes' walk away.
