General overview
Canberra is Australia's national capital, affectionately known as "the Bush Capital". Canberra is one of the world's few planned cities, with Parliament House, the High Court, National Gallery of Australia, Australian War Memorial, Questacon – National Science & Technology Centre, the Museum of Australia and dozens of Federal buildings set in parkland around Canberra's centre piece, Lake Burley Griffin.
For political purposes, Canberra was built "in the bush" away from the cities of Melbourne and Sydney, and is surrounded by forested mountains. The city planning was designed to complement the natural landscape with open spaces, parks and lots of native vegetation. Canberra is located 3 hours drive away from Sydney and 7 hours drive from Melbourne.
We live in Pearce, which is a suburb of Canberra situated in the Woden Valley. Pearce is 20 minutes drive away from Civic, the capital city of Canberra. Our house is located near the Mt Taylor Nature Reserve. We are 5 minutes walk from our local shops and a 15 minute walk to the Woden Plaza one of the district’s major shopping centres.
The space
Our house has 3 bedroom and a study. Our downstairs rumpus has a pull down double bed hidden away, the rumpus room is generous in size and has a a bathroom and toilet.
Guest access
The property is two storey, however there are bi-folds door from the kitchen and family room opening up to a rear deck with BBQ, the deck size is large 11m x 4m

Neighbourhood
Our neighbours are very friendly and we a close knit community, the local shops are located at the end of street, with 3 extremely popular restaurants and a small supermarket. Often you will find our friendly Kangaroos visiting and sitting on our front lawn, there is a lovely nature walk around Mount Taylor, and for the fit and brave you can walk up to the top of Mount Taylor and enjoy the wonderful scenic views all around Canberra, quiet lovely.
Getting around
Bus stops are literally a few minutes walk away, we have two bikes available to use.
