Neighbourhood
At the end of the street there is a nice park on the one side and at the other end you will find a long street full of small shops and 4 supermarkets within 5-10 minutes walk. There are groceries and small restaurants, it's an upcoming, edgy area populair with young professionals and others.
A cosy 15 min walk by the pretty canals brings you to the historical city centre and the museums.
There are various market during the week, various in the weekend from foods to flowers. Occasionally there are vintage and bookmarks too depending on the agenda.
Getting around
We do most things walking or cycling as everything is close by. There's a busstop within 3 minutes walk, the central station is 15 minutes walk. Utrecht has the biggest central station of the Netherlands, which makes it very easy to visit other cities like Amsterdam (35 minutes to the central station or Schiphol Airport), The Hague (39 minutes) and Rotterdam (37 min), Antwerp Belgium (1h27min).
