General overview

One Bedroom apartment located in the neighborhood of Verdun in Montreal Quebec. I use the space only as an office/writing space/getaway or to host friends or family members from out of town. I live with my family in the apartment directly downstairs and this is an entirely separate unit.

The space

I'm updating my lisitng as it is a new unit than the one I had to offer when I first joined PLU. Basics are 1BR with large double bed Located on the top/2nd floor Living Room Kitchen with small balcony attached Bathroom with tub and shower Small study/Library with balcony I do not use this apartment as a living space and so it might be a more eclectic space than a typcial home. Hopefully when I update with more photos it will convey the spirit of the place. Close to public transport (downtown in 10 min) Free street parking Bicycle Path directly across the street

Hello! I am Trixie. Born on the West Coast of Canada I relocated to Montreal 25 years ago and live here still, with my partner and our 10 year old son. I have two adult children who might travel with us from time to time, but for the most part we are a trio. I am a small business owner and writer interested in art, music, culture, nature and everything else in between. My worldly concerns are social justice and equality and I try to exemplify these concerns also in my day to day moments. Connection and honest communication are the things that I strive for in my dealings with others. My partner Eric is much more of a traveler than I am and he has been all over the world. I am less adventurous than him (I don't yearn for desert camel rides) but through him I have caught a bit of a travel bug and I am tremendously excited at the potential exchange of this site as home exchange is much more appealing to me than staying in impersonal hotels. We are laid back, non smokers, and we do not travel with pets. Our ideal destinations are varied. My son loves the water. My partner and I love to walk around and soak up the vibes of different city neighborhoods. We all marvel at a sunset or a beautiful garden. My favorite thing to do in new countries we visit is to go grocery shopping because among the common denominators there is always something utilitarian but new or different than what we are used to... and this is probably the best description of what I am looking for: Something comfortable, but new and also different. Wi-fi is a must due to the nature of my work. Other than that we are all kinds of flexible.
