General overview
We recently sold our townhome and are awaiting completion of our new beach home in the same beautiful village of Placencia. Please check back in September for available dates and final photos.
The space
Great location just a short 5 minute walk to downtown for restaurants, bars, and shops. Transportation in the village is mainly golfcarts and bicycles. Golf carts can be rented in the village and our townhome includes two bicycles for your use. Taxis are readily available for a minimal fee ($5US) to most places in the village.
Placencia Village is located on the tip of a Peninsula on the southern coast of Belize. Flights arrive into Belize City, you then choose a shuttle or rental car to Placencia (app. 3 hrs) or small "puddle jumper" flight (30 minutes). We have several transportation options and will gladly help you arrange if needed. It is a very simple process to get from Belize city

Neighbourhood
Placencia is a quaint fishing village with all the charm the Caribbean life has to offer. People are very friendly and eager to help. There are many excellent restaurants and shopping plus Placencia is home to the longest sidewalk in the world.
The majority of people use bicycles or golf carts to get around town. Both golf carts and bicycles can be rented in the village. However should you wish to take a taxi, we have a driver who will gladly help you with any transportation you may need
The Village of Placencia has unique shops and restaurants. You won't find any fast food chains here, but you will find excellent small, family run restaurants serving local food like chicken with rice/beans, conch, lobster and other seafood dishes. Or, go deep sea fishing and catch your own dinner!
Diving is a very popular pastime for visitors to Belize. There are lots of accredited dive shops and dive companies. Edwin, our caretaker can help you book tours for diving, snorkeling or any land tours that you may wish to do (including lots of tours of Mayan ruins, historical sites or areas of ecological interest).
Getting around
Our home is located on the water at the end of the village. This provides the peacefulness of the waterfront, while enjoying an easy 5 minute walk into the shops, restaurants, and beach bars.
