General overview
Welcome to Mandurah (& Erskine), where your friendly neighbours are dolphins and Western Australia’s top tourist town of 2022!
Mandurah offers the best of both worlds: major amenities including a theatre, cinema, and on a solid train line to Perth, whilst giving you all the outdoors persuit options on your doorstep.
We are close to the water, beaches, ocean, outstanding mountain-bike trails at Dwellingup and within easy reach of wine regions such as the Swan Valley and the Ferguson Valley.
You can go snorkelling, paddle boarding, mountain biking, walking, hiking, swimming, or simply relax at one of the many boutique distilleries or breweries Mandurah has to offer.
Boundry Island Brewery is 5 minutes walk.
The space
We are a two bed, two bath home with laminate floors throughout. We have a main lounge seating area and a seperate TV room (Prime, Netflix, UK TV).
The living area is cosy with a gas fire and perfect for snuggling up in winter with a good book. Books are available a plenty.
Our main bedroom has a King bed and bedroom 2 has a Queen bed, the .
The TV room has a further single fold out bed.
Our kitchen is open-plan and very spacious with a centre island. Plenty of space for the budding chef and gadgets to cook your heart out.
We also have an outside courtyard with comfy sofa and gas BBQ.
Guest access
The house is single level with a small step from the front door to the hallway.

We are happy to discuss for you to use our car: Nissan Navara pick-up truck (Ute).
Ideally you have a vehicle too.
Our cat is a huge people friend and will be your evening snuggle buddy.
She is a rescue cat and to reduce the amount of stress for her, we prefer to keep her at home. However if this is inconvenient we can arrange a cat hotel for her.

Neighbourhood
Beautiful quiet neighbourhood, friendly neighbours and a brewery by the Marina just 5 minutes walk away. Open for breakfasts, lunch and dinner until 10p.
You are within walking distance of two nature reserves, Boundary Island Brewery and the Peel Inlet. You can walk from the house with the paddleboards or kayak, straight into the water.
Our friendly neighborhood kangaroos will keep an eye on you so you don’t get lost.
Mandurah town has a theatre, cinema, distillery clubs, bars and plenty else to entertain visitors.
We are also near outdoor adventure centers such as Dwellingup.
National Parks and Reserves
The Mandurah Estuary and Peel Inlet is a large system of s aline, brackish and freshwater lakes and covers 134 square kilometres – twice the size of Sydney Harbour!
The estuary is comprised of the Peel Inlet which is connected to the Indian Ocean via the Dawesville Channel in Mandurah and the Harvey Estuary further south.
In 1990, The Peel Harvey Estuary was listed under Ramsar Convention as a wetland and ecosystem of international significance.
The Mandurah Estuary and Peel Inlet is regarded as one of Australia’s most spectacular playground for boating, fishing and wildlife watching. Take to the water by hiring a boat, houseboat, jet ski or hop on a cruise.
A dolphin watching tour will also give you the chance to see one of Australia’s healthiest populations of dolphins.
Tens of thousands of waterbirds, including large numbers of migrant shorebirds from the northern hemisphere, use the estuary and lakes each year. The sheltered waters also provide a safe place to fish. Cast a line from the jetties or landings under the bridges to chase Herring, Sand Whiting, Bream and Tailor.
Catch river Prawns in early summer, fish for King Prawns in autumn or go crabbing during late summer and autumn to scoop the famous blue swimmer crab.
Or for a bigger catch, join a deep sea fishing charter.

Fly in to Perth Airport - 50min Train ride to Mandurah - 15 min Taxi or Uber to Erskine.
We have a truck (Ute) at our home for guests to use as part of the exchange.
Alternatively, you could hire a car from Perth Airport and we are 1 hours drive away.
Nearest airport
Perth airport, 1 hour driving.
Mandurah train station is a 15 minute Uber-ride.
Getting around
You can cycle (10 mins), walk (20 mins) or drive (5mins) to the shops.
We are happy to discuss the exchange of our Nissan Navarra pick-up truck.
There is a boutique brewery within 5 mins walking of the house, which we highly recommend.
Because we are outside of Perth you are within spitting distance of some of the most amazing nature reserves in WA, and within easy reach of the Margaret River wine region.
