General overview
We live in an old character house in Rudná, close to the Prague final metro station. Our home is very comfortable and nice place where you can stay and relax after a busy day, especially with children. The house has a garden and a fire place. There are also many things for the entertainment of children (swings, sandbox, etc.), as well as adults (ping-pong table in the garden house, bicycles). There is a parking place in the yard. When we exchange homes, we often exchange cars, too.
The space
We have two bedrooms (both with a double bed) and a children´s room, together we can accommodate up to 7 persons. There are two bathrooms in the apartment, and a fully equipped kitchen.
Guest access
The apartment (170m2) is in the attic of a more than one hundred years old family house. Please, note that there are stairs . our home is not accessible by other means.
Notes
There is a pharmacy in the ground floor and another apartment (not permanently lived in) in the first floor - my husbands´ parents occassionally use this other apartment, and they may be helpful to our guests in case of need.

Neighbourhood
Our place is an ideal starting point for visiting Prague, which is, according to many, one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Apart from Prague, the beautiful landscape of central Bohemia includes deep forests and charming castles (Karlštejn is the most famous), or a small glasswork (Nenačovice), where you can watch the glassworkers at work.
Pilsen, the capital of western Bohemia, and producer of the famous beer, is about 70 km. European Culture City 2015, worth visiting any time of the year. Children love the science center Techmania, while adults may appreciate the visit of the famous brewery.
Other European cities (Munchen, Vienna, Berlin, Budapest) are in the reach of one-day trip from Prague.
Getting around
Our home is a short drive from the Vaclav Havel International Airport (10 minutes by car, 30 minutes by bus). You can get to Prague centre very easily. The final metro station (Zličín) is 5 km from Rudna, easily accessible by public transport. Bus and train stops are a few minutes walk from the house. From Zličín you reach the centre of the city in 30 minutes.
We usually offer a car exchange, too, to our guests.

We are a family of four: mother, father, and two daughters, born 2010 and 2014. We love to travel, and have been members of another homeexchange site since 2012. We like Nordic countries, European sites, ethnographic museums, prehistoric sites, beautiful landscapes.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
