Our detached home is situated on the Llangollen Canal in a quiet village location. There are stunning countryside views all round and over 40 walks can be taken from our doorstep. Take a look...https://sway.office.com/DOtg3BzOMOQ8Aw2B?ref=Link&loc=play
The space
We have our boat moored outside the house that is accessed from a large lawn area with various seating areas, hammocks and a glamping pod. Down through a floral archway and the front patio area opens up with an entertainment area that can easily be served from the kitchen or gas barbeque. A side gate leads to the pretty well stocked fish pond and relaxing flower gardens. Again there are seating areas for you to find the sun, shade or shelter from the rain! Inside the house there is a large kitchen/diner with easy walk through access to television room, utility and lounge.
Guest access
The three bedrooms are on the first and second floors and there are two shower rooms and three toilet's.
Notes
We tend to use our narrow boat (a cosy 4 berth with galley, shower and WC) like a second home but can arrange time on the water for you if you want.

Neighbourhood
This house is set in a very quiet rural location in the village of Bettisfield with only the sound of canal boats chugging by. The Llangollen Canal is part of the waterways network with its tentacles going all over the UK and with boat traffic travelling at just 3 mile per hour! It's like having a garden that is over 3,000 miles long.
The tow path opposite the house is part of The Shropshire Way, a long distance footpath for keen hikers. There are also loads of public footpaths in the area, including the National Nature Reserves at Wixall and Bettisfield Mosses.
The market towns of Whitchurch, Ellesmere and Wem are all within a 6 mile raduis
The historical Shrewsbury, Chester, Ludlow and Telford are all on our doorstep for you to explore. Numerous picturesque border towns and villages offer options to drive to and sample the food and drink in traditional pub settings. Liverpool and Manchester are both just over an hour away. The stunning coastline of North Wales can be visited in a day as can the Snowdonian National Park.
Getting around
To stay here you will definitely need a car to get about. If available, we have a car to swap.
