General overview
Historic 1910 cabin reminiscence inside this renovated home (full renovation and remodel finalized July 2018). Wonderful quiet setting on over 1 acre land.
The home is very welcoming with some unique old cabin rooms complemented with a cozy, modern, comfortable and spacious addition. It is a truly unique and amazing place!
Walking distance to the historic Stanley hotel (0.7miles), downtown Estes Park (0.6miles), main grocery store (1 mile) and 4 miles from Rocky Mountain National Park entrance.
The space
Lot’s of amazing wildlife sighting and short distance to outdoor fun! Just to mention a few: RMNP, MacGregor Ranch, Lumpy Ridge trail head, downtown Estes Park, the Birch Ruins, the aerial tramway and many more. There is plenty of information and a perfect planning area in the office. This includes maps&books, suggested hikes, local newsletters, restaurants and entertainment recommendations. Everything you need to plan your stay in Estes Park.
The game room has a large variety of puzzles and games (for all ages), books (fiction, nonfiction, kids, local maps and hiking guides) and magazines. You will not be bored!
Main level: family room (TV with Netflix, Disney+ and DVDs), game & reading room (with pullout couch), dining room, large renovated kitchen, en-suite bedroom (queen size bed), 4th bedroom with single bed and reading nook, laundry, office area.
Upper level: large masters suite, 2nd bedroom (bunk bed with queen on he bottom and Twin XL on top), walk out to upper deck area.
Outside: 2 large decks with outdoor table and gas grill (which can be used) second deck with seating area, detached garage (locked). Large outdoor area for kids to play and a comfortable hammock. We are a family of 5. We sold everything in 2019 and started traveling the world.. We visited 60 countries!! For 2024/2025 we decided to settle in Seville, Spain. Our kids are attending a local school, so we are bound to the school holidays and less flexible, but still eager to explore and exchange!
We have had several successful home exchanges through PLU and would love to do some more!
