General overview
We have 2 holiday Studios in the same building, one upstairs and one downstairs. Both were recently renovated in Spring '23.
Both have a King sized bed, bathroom with rainfall showers, fully equipped kitchens, and cosy living space with Netflix TV.
Both studios are located right next to our home house. We also have a gym and sauna in another building right beside our home. Our gym has a treadmill, rowing machine, boxing bag, weights and bench.
We have plenty of private car parking spaces too.
We are located just a 20 min drive from the world famous Cliffs of Moher, a 15 min drive from Doolin, famous village filled with traditional music and passenger ferries to visit the Aran Islands (where the Bamshee's of Inisherrin was recently filmed!)
Windswept is a great base for all your adventures on Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way Visits!
Non simultaneous swaps are perfect!
The space
The pictures show the Studios exactly as they are. There is a common garden space beside the Studios and a patio with garden furniture and a BBQ.
Guest access
Both Studios are in the same building. One is upstairs (stairs has 13 steps - not steep) and the other is downstairs. Both Studios have there own separate entrance doors. The Studios are located next door to our main home.

Neighbourhood
We live 3 km from the nearest town of Lisdoonvarna. It is well known for its Matchmaking Festival held annually for 5 weeks beginning in September!!! Meet the famous Matchmaker or just soak up the atmosphere and watch the lovely daytime dancing held in various venues around the town!
Windswept is located in the countryside, what we lack in man made architecture we make up for in Nature's architecture!! We are situated on the edge of the very unique Burren Landscape - a unique rocky limestone landscape. It offers gorgeous views and fabulous hikes! Green fields and stone walls surround us here at Windswept. Peaceful countryside aplenty!
Around our neck of the woods we are lucky to have the world's famous and majestic Cliffs of Moher not too far away, along with the Aran Islands. Plenty of coastline to drive or cycle along too! But if its Castles you are looking for we are not too far away from Bunratty Castle either! All well worth a visit!
Maybe you would prefer to go surfing....Fanore Beach is a 15 minutes drive from us....great waves to be found there!
Or maybe you fancy some Golf? Lahinch Golf course is just a 20 min drive or Trump International Golf Links in Doonbeg is just 45 minutes away on the Clare coast!

Getting to my home
Fly into Shannon or Dublin Airport. There are buses available from both airports however they wouldn't travel directly to our location. Car Rental agencies are located at both airports.
Nearest airport
We are conveniently located just 1 hours drive from Shannon Airport, an hour from Limerick City and Galway City. Alternatively we are 3 hours from Dublin airport.
Getting around
You will need a car as we are situated in the countryside.

First time Family here looking to start our home exchange adventure!
I'm Demelza and my husband is Paul and our 4 kids are Jack (15), Tristan (14) Lucy (12) and Maximus (9). All very active and involved heavily in sports especially the boys with gaelic football and soccer and our daughter is dancing (ballet, contemporary). Paul is a carpenter and I run our 2 holidays studios. We have a golden retreiver Rocky, he dosent travel with us and he can stay with our friends while we are away. We also have a house cat Simba but our neighbor will mind her while we are away.
Please Note that neither pet is allowed into our holiday Studios.
We love to travel, Paul & I both met when we were living in Quincy, MA. Our home towns in Ireland are in the same county and only 60 minutes drive from each other!
As a family we especially love the sunshine and the beaches and have holidayed in Spain, Portugal, Malta & Croatia.
In 2023 Paul and I would love to get a weekend away in Nov/Dec for a city break near any of the christmas markets, maybe Vienna, Bruges, Zurich! Open to Suggestions so please dont be shy.!
In 2024, we would love a family trip to the east coast USA, Boston & Cape Cod most definitely and maybe even Florida. We are currently looking at travelling in late August & early September 2024.
We are open to any suggestions....family trips or just Mum & Dad weekend away 😉
As we just have the 2 holiday studios, both are available to you if your travelling party requires them!
