General overview

Our home is located in a residential subdivision in Rothesay (a bedroom community, 12 minutes away by car from Saint John, New Brunswick)- Canada's oldest incorporated city.

The space

The house 3 bedrooms on the second floor, along with a home office. Master bedroom has an ensuite bath with shower. Full 3 piece bath for the other bedrooms. Main floor features an open concept kitchen and living room, with a formal dining room off the kitchen. Full laundry facilities. The living room opens to a private covered back deck with BBQ and wood fired pizza oven. The back lawn borders on thick woods, lending further privacy to the property.

Guest access

3 level home (finished basement with half bath), main floor with half bath, and bedrooms on the upper floor 2 full baths. Access is by stairs.

Notes

St. Martins and the Fundy Trail are just 30 minutes by car offering great hiking trails, panoramic views, and sea kayaking. St Andrews and its famous whale watching tours are less than one hour away. Stroll through the trails of Rockwood Park in Saint John (the largest urban park in North America). Visit Saint John's city market, the Imperial Theatre,

Neighbourhood

Ours is a suburban residential neighborhood, very little traffic and safe walking, There is a small park round the corner with swings and slides for small children.

Getting to my home

YSJ airport is a small airport with connections to Halifax Montreal and Toronto and is a quick 15 minute drive away. You will need a vehicle to enjoy this exchange. There is no Uber service and taxis are expensive for daily use.

YSJ - Saint John - 15 minute drve. YFC Fredericton - 70 minute drive, YQM -Moncton 80 minute drive

Getting around

Uptown Saint John - restored waterfront and cruise ship destination is a 15 minute drive, Eastpoint shopping area is a 15 minute drive Groceries are just a 2 minute drive. Best restaurants are in uptown Saint John area ( 15 minute drive). But there are local options along the main street in Rothesay (5 minute drive) Stree parking in Saint John is metered but usually easy to access and is free after 6 pm.
