General overview

Our 3-room apartment is not very large, but comfortably furnished and fully equipped. It is located 100 meters from the beach, a shopping street and the pleasant boulevard of Scheveningen. The nice harbor with restaurants is also within walking distance. In just 10 minutes by public transport you are in the center of The Hague where there is plenty to do. Cities such as Delft, Leiden, Haarlem, Rotterdam and Amsterdam are also very easy to reach by public transport. A perfect place for a nice holiday or short stay. We have a folder available with all the fun sights and activities in the area, but also for trips in the rest of the country. We also have 2 public transport cards available with a small credit so that you can quickly use public transport.

The space

We live in old Scheveningen where there are mainly small old houses that used to be inhabited by local fishermen. There is a nice friendly atmosphere. Our apartment has a large balcony by Scheveningen standards. We have decorated this nicely and you can enjoy the rising sun with a cup of home-made cappuccino. (Sun until 2:30 PM).

Neighbourhood

Our apartment is located in Scheveningen Village. 100 meters and you are standing with your feet in the water. The Scheveningen pier and many shops and restaurants are also within walking distance. Cities such as Delft, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Haarlem are in the immediate vicinity. The Hague has many museums and nice sights. We are happy to help you create a fun program.

Getting to my home

Unfortunately, parking in Scheveningen is very expensive. For those who come for a few days, we may have visitor hours (while supplies last :) ). We are very easy to reach by public transport. Out of season (October - April) you can park for free in the area.

Nearest airport

Rotterdam Airport is 30 minutes by car from our apartment. We are also easily accessible by metro. Schiphol Airport can be reached in 40 minutes by car (outside rush hour). There is also a train to The Hague.

Getting around

Enjoy doing everything on foot. But if you don't feel like that, public transport is well organised. tram and bus within walking distance. In 10 minutes in the center of The Hague. We also have 2 bicycles available so you can cycle straight into the dunes.

Hello, we are Jan (64) and Monique (57) Vonk. After living and working in Africa for 10 years, we returned to Scheveningen where we have a small apartment within walking distance of the beach and boulevard. We travel a lot in our camper, so our apartment is often available. We want to alternate camper travel with home exchanges and are open to suggestions. We enjoy golfing, hiking, diving and cycling. We also like to go to museums and "get lost" in the area. We also love good food and enjoy a nice glass of wine with it. We do not smoke and are very careful with our belongings.
